Her grandparents are the late Fred Onco and Esther Onco and the late Hannah Keahbone Brace. Her great-grandparents are the late Robert Onco, late Fannie Maunkee Onco, the late Edgar Keahbone, and the late Sindy Keahbone. Her paternal ancestors included Anko-Paa-Ingyadete (author of Anko Kiowa Calendar), No Hand (Maunkee) also known as "Kiowa Bill", Black Buffalo (Pau-Kong-Gyah) and No Retreat (Ko-Et-Hai). Poor Buffalo (Paw-tawdle), Frizzlehead (A-Mau-Tah), To-Kaunty, Guo-La-Te (also known as Maigote) and Red Bonnet I are some of her maternal ancestors. When elected, Nesha attended Norman West Mid-High School. Her previous activities included NWMH Cheerleader (1989-1991) and Diving Team member (1990) , Chalet Gymnastic Competition Team (1986-1989), Ballet (1982-1987). She performed for Oklahoma Governor David Walters in the "Children's Inaugural Ball" in January 1991 and modeled for Dillard's Department Stores from 1985 to 1986. Nesha also participated in Norman OK Title V cultural activities. Before her election as Kiowa Princess, she served as 1989 Keahbone Family Princess and 1990-1991 Kiowa Tia-Piah Society of Carnegie Princess.
