Exposition Director: Kenneth Anquoe

Marion is the daughter of Christine Two Hatchet Kaulaity and Ricky Kaulaity and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Two Hatchet. She is a descendant of Joshua Kawlaide Kaulaity, a Kiowa member of the famous Indian Troop L. 7th Cavalry, stationed at Fort Sill in 1891-1897, and Tebodal Taybodl, an early-day Kiowa historian and informant. Her great-grandmother, Spotted Wings, was a Kiowa medicine woman noted for her authority on birds and reptiles and for practicing healing rites. She is also a descendant of Tane-peah, a Kiowa warrior and one of the designers of the famous Tohausen's battle tipi.

Marion is a 1971 graduate of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma with a degree in Sociology and Home Economics. While at USAO, she helped record, translate, and edit a number of Kiowa legends. She received her Master of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of Oklahoma in 1974. During her time at OU, she contributed research for and was casted in the short documentary film "Mini" covering a sociological story of Indian tribulation during the Depression in Oklahoma. Using her home economics training, she has designed Indian fashions that were displayed in numerous fashion shows and traveling exhibits, and she is a past consultant for Mademoiselle magazine.
