Edna
Cozad: Edna Cozad is the daughter of Michael and Martha Cozad,
the granddaughter of the late Ray and Blossom Smokey Cozad, the great-granddaughter
of Enoch and Maggie Smokey, and the great-great-granddaughter of Mo-Kaum,
Mary Smokey, and Alschant, Old Man Smokey. Her great-great-great-grandparents
are Red Otter and Goo-kau-ley. Her Kiowa name is also Mo-Kaum (Her
Design in Beadwork is Beautiful). She was a twenty-year-old in her
second year of undergraduate study at Cameron University majoring
in pre-medicine. Edna was listed on the Dean's Honor Roll and mentioned
in Who's Who for Academic Achievement. She was a 2000 graduate of
Eisenhower High School, participated in the Kiowa Black Leggins Auxiliary,
and was the 2002-2003 Southwest Vietnam Veterans Association Sr. Princess. |

Bethany
Phillips : Bethany is the daughter of Liane Anquoe-Phillips
and Mark Phillips, the granddaughter of Jack and Ella Anquoe, the
great-granddaughter of the late James and Anna Anquoe, and a descendant
of Goul-hay-ee. Her Kiowa name is Tsein-Te-Gaw-Ahn-Ohn-Mah (She Loves
and Watches Over White Horses) which belonged to her great-great-grandmother.
Bethany was an eighteen-year-old senior at Lamar High School in Arlington,
TX where she was a cheerleader, played in the orchestra, marching
band, and drumline, and was a member of the softball and volleyball
teams. She was also a member of the Lamar Baptist Church and the Girl
Scouts of America. |

Peggy
Kyle Tsoodle: Peggy is the daughter of Timothy Craig and
Myra Doreen Tsoodle. Her paternal family includes grandparents Fred
and Mary Ruth "Peggy" (Toyebo) Tsoodle, great-grandparents
Milton and Margaret (Quoetone) Toyebo, Henry and Mabel (Hummingbird)
and Dora (Autaubo) Tsoodle. Her maternal family includes grandmother
Hazel (Dupoint) Kaudle-Kaule and great-grandparents Joseph and Georgia
(Botone) Dupoint. She is a descendent of Red Tipi, Big Tree, Satanta,
Gotebo, Botone, Hummingbird, Satepauhoodle, Tanedooah, Toyebo, Quoetone,
Dupoint, and White Buffalo. Her three sisters are Melissa Celia, Casey
Patricia, and Catlin Marguerite, and her brother is Henry Milton Ethan.
Peggy was a seventeen-year-old junior at Anadarko High School involved
in the National Honor Society, Prudential Youth Leadership Institute,
and the AHS Native American Club as secretary. She was an afterschool
volunteer with the 21st Century Community Learning Centers at East
Elementary School in Anadarko. Her honors included All-American Scholar,
the National Honor Roll, the National Minority Leadership Award, Who's
Who Among American High School Students, and Principal's Honor Roll.
She is an active member of the Rainy Mountain Baptist Church and enjoys
learning and singing Kiowa hymns with her grandfather. |
