Text By *Rodan by Harb of whom Col. Spencer Borden wrote: "If there is a finer Arab stallion in the world than Harb, son of Bint Helwa and Mesaoud, the writer would go a great distance to see him." Bint Helwa was one of the greatest treasures owned by the Blunts in England. Harb was Seglawi Jedran on both sides.

Bazrah, bred to some of the finest stallions of her era (*Abu Zeyd, Gulastra, Rahas, *Nasr, and Ferseyn) was the Dam of an amazing 20 registered purebred Arabian foals (10 colts and 10 fillies) including her daughter Bazikh and dazzling son Balastra. Bazrah become renown not only for the quantity, but also the quality of her foals. Though not in our pedigrees but of special interest to us at Arieana Arabians was her impressive and naturally-gaited son Bazleyd. This stallion, with his rapid, natural amble which resembled the basic running walk gait of the Tennessee Walking Horse, proved his merit with high placements in horse shows and thereby earned his listing as Foundation Breeding Stock in the Supplemental Section of Volume I of The Register of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders Association published in 1939.

In addition to her fame as an outstanding broodmatron, Bazrah was also widely regarded for her own excellent conformation and kindly disposition ~ qualities she certainly passed on to her foals. When W.R. Brown dispersed his Maynesboro Stud in 1935, Bazrah went first to W. R. Hearst of San Simeon, California, and then on to Roy L. Jackson of Orange, California. Bazrah died at age 29, on the same day as did Man O' War, the great Thoroughbred racehorse, in November 1948.
