Proposed Swift's race for 2000

The time has come for us who raise and fly swifts to organize miniature races in our local areas to test the birds endurance and to prove our commitment to flying. Without testing the birds their should be no claim for neither their intelligence nor their flying ability.
As the demand soared, culls have made their way through and polluted few good ones.
We want to test the flying ability and the intelligence of more Swifts in North America. Many fanciers including myself have claimed the ability of their birds to fly and show. Others unjustifiably have claimed the same thing for the sake of making a sale.

Why race:
To establish a pure and strong line of Swifts in participating lofts. This way culls will be removed and only those deserving few will be propagated slowly and properly as a flying stud in the USA. Lesser quality birds will still be sold but for much less prices for those who want to start with the breed and learn about it.

Race proposal:
If you raise this breed, you might participate in at least 15 miles toss for any subgroup you might have, with the exception of the Rehani family unless you desire to include them. The reason I am proposing a short distance to begin with is because it's a natural distance for any flying pigeon to home from. I also don't want you to loose birds and make it purely fun event. Feel free to train for any distance your birds bare.

Race rules:
1-contact your local airport or use a GPs to establish a distance from your house to the release site.
2-Two pictures from 3 feet for each bird and its corresponding band number should be mailed to all contestants and viewed on the Internet to view what your breed look like. I am willing to post all pictures, band numbers and their owner on this site to be viewed by the rest.
3-Ask few fanciers with integrity from a racing club and a fancy club from your area to witness your release and account for the returning birds. This will only boost the publicity of the Swifts and the merit of your loft.
4-There is no limit on the number of birds, their age, distance, or their kind as long as we are dealing with a pure group of a Swifts.
5-No set date: You decide the timing of your event as long as you participate at least once a year.
If you carry good and daring Swifts, please let's know before the year is over. This is a straightforward and we trust the integrity of all participants.
Reply at your convenience or send documentation and I will publish it for you.
