Sensei
Larry Grivich, 2nd Dan
|

Since 1987 Sensei Larry Grivich has been a head instructor
and coach of the Judo program at RMC, now called KMC (Kingston Military
Community). He is a Queen’s University graduate in Psychology, a second
degree Black Belt in Judo, registered with both Judo Ontario and Judo
Canada, and a NCCP level 3 certified coach, with over sixteen (16) years
of Judo coaching/teaching experience.
He has taught many students to black belt level and many
have gone on to compete Nationally.
Assistants to Mr. Grivich are Assistant Coach, Mark Timpson
and Team Trainer, Jason Timpson. Both qualified instructors themselves.

Sensei Mark Timpson, 1st Dan

|
Assistant Judo Coach, Mark Timpson, is a
former National Competitor, who brings with him a significant amount of
technical experience, having trained intensively with the U. S. National
Olympic team in Colorado.

Jay Timpson, 1st Dan

|
Our Judo Team Trainer, Jason Timpson, is
a Registered Nurse and an avid Judo player, who has made a significant
contribution in maintaining an overall “safe" but competitive training
atmosphere in our state-of-the-art specialized sub-floor training room.

Sensei
Pete Goudreau, 1st Dan
|

|
Sensei Peter is our most experienced
fighter in the club. With over 47 years of Judo
and many winning titles under his beltl, he is one to “sweep” you off your
feet when he teaches. He was one of the youngest Judoka in Canada to have
received his black belt when he was 15 years
old.

Sensei
Farid Mobasser, 2nd Dan
|

|
Sensei Farid fought and won the Iran University Judo
Championships before moving to Kingston where he is currently working on
his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, at Queen’s University. He is a
technical fighter and brings ample of techniques and experience to our
classes. Sensei is affiliated with the Queen's Judo Club as an
instructor.

Visiting Sensei Shannon Mullins, 1st Dan
|
|
Sensei Shannon is a second year
Queen's student and Head Instructor of the
Queen's Judo Club. She regularly trains with us and is one of the
coolest female black belts around. Sensei is a provincial fighter and
brings a wealth of competitive experience to our club. Have we
mentioned that she's also cool?
