Sorry about this! Another mess up on behalf of the team! KG is having a new Science block built, but not on the tennis courts. We have been informed of this mistake by 'xxxmexxx'. This was then checked out with a member of staff from the school.

We think that The Sports Hall 1st floor will be used as a Dance Studio. The new Science block is / will be at the back of the school, and the Extension to the music block will supposedly have the new Drama room(s) there.

Oops! KG isn't having a new Science block built, it's a new 2-floor sports hall! The bottom floor will most likely have a courts for sports in it, and the upper floor will be for Dance.

The new 'Website of the Month' has now been added (sorry for the lateness - it will be the October Website of the Month as well).

As we get further into the first term at King's and KG there will be more things that happen at both schools. As it happens, we don't have many people telling us what's happening at either school (Teachers leaving, Announcements, Inspections, Drama Presentations, Discos, etc.). If anybody could e-mail us, or post news in the forum then that would be very much appreciated. The news wouldn't have to be very long, even a sentance would do!

If you continue to give us news throughout the year then you may be promoted in the forum and main site, and have privileges.

So term is back in full swing again, and it seems there aren't many new policies at King's or KG. Apart from years 7-9 at King's having to line up in forms on the quad after every break to have their uniform checked. What do you think about this new policy?

KG also has one very noticable difference - what tennis court? The school is having a new Science block (now known to be a Sports Hall) built where there used to be a tennis court. Which would you have done? Kept the tennis court, or built the new block?

Post your views on both of these topics in the forum, just create a new topic.

Back to school tomorrow for years 7 and 12, but luckily most of us are having an extra day at home! An extra day to get all that homework done for the first day back...

1st September 2003

King's and KG both had a 'Bumper Crop of A-levels' this year. King's achieved a 97.2% pass rate and KG achieved a 96.3% pass rate. Full story at Grantham Today.

1 Day until the end of term! (or less than) Last day of school tomorrow, and we are all ready for it. 6 weeks of holidays! When the holidays start we will probably be quite thin on news, but we will keep you up to date with what we know.

17th July 2003

2 Days until the end of term! We now have our own domain name - www.kingskg.tk! You can still use the old address, but the new one is probably easier to remember!

16th July 2003

3 Days until the end of term! Most teachers are being quite kind now, so you won't be doing as much work as usual (hopefully).

If you haven't noticed the workmen (how could you miss them) at KG, they are repairing the Gym roof. This was because it was leaking - the work should be complete for the next school year.

We now know that Moore House won the King's House Athletics this year.

It has also now been confirmed that Miss Vincent is leaving King's this year. Please could someone send me the names of the teachers from KG who are definitely leaving.
