| Cheese on Toast a la Quayle: you will need four slices of thick bread, red leicster, mild white cheddar, sharp knife, plate, toaster, grill and brown sauce (hp original is the best). Step 1: Toast the bread till golden brown in the toaster. meanwhile heat up the grill to maximum and slice the cheese- you will nee 8 slices of each type of cheese probably, around 1/2 cm thick. Step 2: Place cheese on toast so that each slice has two slices of each kind of cheese on it and the toast is completely covered, with the cheese colours alternating orange, yellow, orange, yellow on each slice. Step 3: Melt the cheese under the grill until bubbling lightly all over and slightly browned. Crosshatch each slice of toast with brown sauce on top of the cheese then replace under the grill until cheese starts to bubble again. Remove from grill, put on place and cut each slice once diagonally to serve. Voila, its delightful. Approx meal cost: 50p note: you can also use tomato sauce, for which heinz is the best. either is good. tomato sauce isnt as tangy tho, and it just tastes like pizza. |
