Comes a time...usually the second someone asks so, what do you sound like?, that a band has to cave in to an honest definition of their sound and style. Theres no tougher time than when it comes to put pen to paper for that ubiquitous band bio. At this point, we could wax lyrical about hard-edeged-blues-sensationalism direct from the garage, with gritty vocals, punchy riffs and driving rhythm thatll drag you kicking and screaming off your butt and straight to the front of stage quicker than you can say wha...! Youve heard it all before, right? But what could we say about sweat, adrenalin, taking the piss, havin a laugh, dancing and shouting YEEEEAH! at the top of your lungs? Nothing our music wont tell your ears. SWAYBACK was formed in mid-2002 with the expressed purpose of not taking a second too seriously and having a rockin good time. No-one will tell you SWAYBACK is the most stylish band you ever saw, but thats not the point. What is? The fact that no-one will ever tell you they left a SWAYBACK gig without a smile on their face or a lyric to recite. In these days of image driven overnite pop sensations, SWAYBACK is a triumph of substance over style. We reckon we ARE a rockin good time...aint that what its all about?
