1.  You and your partner will take an online trip on the Underground Railroad.  Print out the question sheet so that you can answer the questions as you go along.  While on this trip, be prepared to learn many interesting facts. 

2. Journal entry:  Slave Perspective
Read a 1st person
personal narrative from a slave.  Try to imagine what life was like for them.  Be sure to answer these questions in your journal entry:
         - Why did they run away?
         - How did they escape?
         - Describe what life was like.

3. Describe the Quaker Perspective by writing a summary answering these questions:
   - Who were the Quakers and why did they want to stop slavery?
   - How did they help on the Underground Railroad?
   - Describe the kinds of secret codes used to help bring people to freedom.
