| Tara Maclay sat on the bed in her dorm room; she looked at the clock for the twelfth time in two minutes, it still said 16:56. Its not five yet, shes not late. She is gonna turn up. Relax. Staring at the clock every five seconds is not gonna make time speed up. I wish it did. Maybe a spell? No, cant use magic for stuff like that. Plus, I dont think there are any spells to alter time. Another glance at the clock, 16:57. Oh good, it changed, its not broken. I really need to calm down. Theres no way Ill even be able to say hi to Willow if Im this tense. Okay Tara, relax. Relax. Relax? Who am I trying to kid? Im not gonna relax. Im planning on telling the only friend I have that Im in love with her, there is no relax. She fiddled distractedly with a small charm, desperate to avoid looking at the clock or thinking about what she was about to do. It worked, for ten seconds. I dont have to do it. Nobody is forcing me to tell her how I feel. But Ive already told her that I need to tell her something personal. What am I gonna do, make up some random personal information about myself? Unless? No. No way, Im not telling her that. Shed hate me more than she will when she finds out that Im in love with her. I definitely wont be telling her about the demon thing. Im not even sure if thats true. God, if dad or Donny heard that. No, that doesnt bear thinking about. Her train of thought stopped as she winced at the memory of what had happened the first time (the only time) she had questioned the family legend. So I guess Im gonna have to do it A soft tap at the door made her jump and she briefly forgot how to breathe, or move, or do anything. The second knock was louder and snapped her back to life. She stood and slowly made her way to the door, her hand on the handle she took two deep breaths then opened the door to Willows sweet smiling face. |
