| Destiny's Child '99 TEEN PEOPLE Online chatted with Destiny's Child on November 30, 1999 Beyonce Knowles: Sometimes when we're doing online chats, we see how people make up things and pretend to be us. So whenever you see something online about us, make sure it's coming out of our mouths, because people make stuff up! Kelly Rowland: Yeah, I won't be online till after December. HostTPtony: How do we know it's you guys now? Kelly Rowland: You'll just have to trust us! Beyonce Knowles: That's messed up! Kelly Rowland: We would sing, but you can't hear us. HostTPtony: What else is on your Christmas lists and what are you planning for New Year's Eve? Beyonce Knowles: My Christmas list is to be home! That's my biggest present, to be home with my family. I want to be there on New Year's too, because people are going to be special on New Year's ..... or I'd like to be in church. Kelly Rowland: (singing the MC Hammer classic) We gots to pray.... Question: How long did it take to make the video for "Bug A Boo"?? Kelly Rowland: It took 2 days, and we barely made it because there were so many scenes in a short period of time! HostTPtony: Do you have a lot of input into what the video is about? Kelly Rowland: Definitely. All the videos we've come out with since we've come out have been collaborations. It's tight to see all of your ideas come to life. HostTPtony: We have time for one more question. Question: Where did you get the name "Destiny's Child"?? Beyonce Knowles: We got the name Destiny out of the Bible. We couldn't keep it because so many people had that name, so we added Child, which is like a rebirth of Destiny. HostTPtony: Thank you so much for joining us tonight! Do you have any closing comments? Kelly Rowland and Beyonce Knowles: Thank you for all your support of Destiny's Child. God bless and know that you can do anything if you put to your minds to it. Don't let any haters bring you down. For all you younger kids, stay in school and get your education. HostTPtony: Destiny's Child is getting ready for a big LIFEbeat concert tomorrow night in New York City to benefit World AIDS Day.
