The Provincial Museum

Kim and David have decided on a non-traditional wedding, incorporating elements of both Jewish and traditional ceremonies.  They plan be married by a justice of the peace.

For those who are not familiar with Jewish Traditions, Kim and David will be married under a huppah.  The huppah is a wedding canopy which is created by suspending a talit — prayer shawl — or a decorative cloth from four poles.  The huppah symbolizes the couple's new home, with the open sides welcoming friends and family.

The breaking of the glass represents the fragility of human relationships, the beginning of a new life and the dismissal of prejudice and ignorance.
