Because of its membership, PASA continues to be strong. One thing we know for sure, our future depends on our great membership.
At the first meeting for our members, we enjoyed fellowship, good food, as well as getting information on the latest with PASA. Everyone got to meet our current officers and a few event chairpersons. We even wished one of our members, Herman Ivey, a very happy birthday!
Because this was a planned meeting for our membership, business was part of our agenda. It was laid out as follows:
1. Events:
We have a treasure trove of events to fill our year. Our goal for these events is to garner camaraderie amongst existing and new membership, and to help raise money for PASA. In addition, we also instituted the VIP or better known as the Volunteer Incentive Program. We need all the help we can get in order to make this a record year for growth in PASA. 2. PASA Kids Club:
We formed this informal club for our kids (members and nonmembers). This will encourage our kids to be able to enjoy PASA events, as well as meet new friends�their age! In addition, this club was formed to encourage everyone to support the kids in their events. Examples of events planned for them are: Sports Clinics, Kids Nite Out, Summer Reading Club, and more! 3. Proposed changes to PASA�s by-laws:
Membership that came to the meeting were able to participate in voting for these changes. The primary changes had to do with Officers information, membership data, and voting. The new by-laws are published and can be viewed here: PASA By-Laws. A big thank you to everyone that participated in the voting and gave comments during this part of our meeting.
4. General Comments and Suggestions Box:
Everyone at the meeting was given a chance to put any comments or suggestions into a box. We welcome any member or nonmember to make PASA grow and be a great place to be. This box should be at all of our events to give everyone an opportunity to contribute.
