Ronan O'Gara getting belted by McRae
Over 40,000 packed into the stadium, every person within ten metres of copious amounts of alcohol and getting more and more inebriated as the night wore on. They take their sport here seriously and is the only subject that you can get an intelligent conversation out of an Australian about. This was our first chance to see the Irish and British Lions in action against the local boys - the Waratahs / New South Wales.  Natasha knows the tour baggage master and went off for a chat with him in the first half and met Ronan O'Gara who was sitting beside him. Never in my whole life have I heard the foul and abusive language that issued from her mouth in the second half when poor helpless Ronan O'Gara got seven punches in the face just in front of us - Natasha was foaming at the mouth and screaming for blood - wrapped in her tricolour!! Myself and her brother Fergus had to restrain her from jumping on to the field and incurring a $5,500 fine!!  The quest is on for tickets for the International in Sydney in July.

Last weekend we visited Taronga Zoo, just beside the harbour so I am please to say that I have seen kangaroos, wallabies, possoms, ostriches, emus, platypus, Tasmanian devils and many other of the native population.

On the work front, I'm still an employee of the Attorney General until late August and will thankfully never have to find another job in this country. The beginning of September will see us abandon Sydney and commence our travels up the coast.
Ah well, there's always the Compromise Rules series in October......
