The most effective modification choice is unfortunately the most
difficult to do , but once done will give the best and most
professional result.
By cutting a downward ¨D¨ into the otherwise rectangular
indexing slot we can get the deepest slot with the least amount of
material being removed.
This can be done with the popular and easily sourced ¨Dremel¨
power tool and a suitable engraving bit like this ....

With this done the lens will now seat all the way down , the lock ring
will turn fully and retain the lens securely.
