MY HOME THEATER

TV: Panasonic PT-53WX42
DVD: Panasonic DVD-CP72K
RECEIVER: Still the Yamaha RX-V995 (maybe a 950/7100 combo from Outlaw)
SPEAKERS: Mirage FRX-5 towers for the main/front speakers, Mirage FRX-3 bookshelves for the surround and center speakers
SUB: SVS 20-39pci
DSS: DishNet model 6000/8psk/8vsb

I also have mostly Monster® brand interconnects, including:
White 16 guage speaker wire, and a THX® rated subwoofer cable.
Not that I recommend spending inordinate amounts of money on Monster® stuff,
that's just what I bought when I was first getting into the whole HT thing.
It's pretty good, but in retrospect, it's a little overpriced for a bunch of wire.

Read my HT speaker selection primer.
It covers some of the basics about how different types of speakers
work in a Home Theater surround sound system.
And it's easy to read, too. (I hope)
Except for one fairly simple mathematical equation,
it's mostly written in layman's terms.
