Ambitions
I have many goals I have set myself for the next three to four years. These are important because what I do during my course impacts on these goals. Here is the current list:
Education
- Earn a Bachelor of Information Technology, trying my best.
- Extend my computer skills to include other areas.
- Gain industrial experience by contributing to open-source software.
- Consult potential employers to learn what I can do to make myself better than other potential employees.
- Keep my knowledge up to date, as the nature of the IT industry is rapid.
- Become a proficient "Code Ninja" (Software programmer).
Employment
- Ideally, I am aiming to prove myself worthy to work for EdAlive.
- Generally, I'd like to end up with a job contributing to the Apple Macintosh platform.
- Put myself ahead of potential employees by knowing more, gaining experience and meeting more people. Become a formidable "Code Ninja".
- Keep writing software that will get myself known to potential employers.
- Secure a good job where the workplace culture is very positive.
Personal
- Get a job outside of Coffs Harbour where I can gain independence, life experience and completely discover who I am.
- Join the local Volleyball competition (if any) of the place I move to and become a better player.
- Improve aerobic fitness and remain healthy.
- Learn a martial art, in particular Aikido.
- Learn a musical instrument, in particular the piano.
- Earn an adequate amount of money so I can enjoy life without being greedy.
- Donate to respectable charities and help the less fortunate.
- Marry the love of my life, Marie O'Riley.
