Kids United: A Memorial Tribute to September 11, 2001

Hello and welcome. My name is Evan; i'm a young teenager from small town America. After the horrible events of September 11th, i realized my mother was attempting to "shield" me from the details of what took place. Then, while surfing the net, it became obvious that, while there are tons of sites relating to those events, with everyone under the sun voicing his or her opinions, hopes, fears, etc., there was no outlet i could find just for kids. We have the same doubts, fears, opinions as everyone else - and who has more right to state them than us? After all, WE are your future, and we need to learn from the mistakes of the past. We, too, have a need to discuss, be informed, and have a voice......

......and thus this site was born. You'll notice it is almost empty at present. I'm hoping that all young people everywhere, even those that simply remember what it was like to be young, will feel encouraged to speak their mind regarding these attacks on America.
So please, send in your poems, art, prayers, thoughts, whatever. I will post them gladly. Whatever is on your mind or in your heart deserves to be heard. We will show the world that children are a force that will be heard. We listen, we learn, and we strive. This planet MUST become more than the violent, intolerant sum of its past. On a personal note, i read and saw the reactions of the CEO of CoffeeCup Software immediately following the terrible events of September 11th. All i can say is Bravo!!
