Another good day here. A real shocker was the the California Guatemala Consulate FedExed our documents yesterday after I called them and they arrived at AFOD (A Field of Dreams) today! So, Jessica emails wondering where the NY Consulate documents were which were supposed to arrive first. Tracking info showed them in route to arrive tomorrow. Now the delay is that I mailed two other documents to Jessica on Tuesday morning (2 or 3 day mail) to save the postage and in the end...I should have express mailed them. Our dossier could have gone to Guatemala on Thursday!!!!! I just never never dreamed that California would get our documents back to AFOD 24 hours after receiving them. Oh well...the good news is that our dossier WILL go to Guatemala on Monday (darn Holiday on Friday...sorry Veterens).
I am thinking about Franklin a lot. John and Ian are playing together so nicely lately and I am certain it is because Ian is getting older and more verbal. I really think both boys will (mostly) love having a playmate closer to their ages. I'm not naive to think that they will not also fight but I suspect we will celebrate fighting as a sign that they have all become true brothers :)
And, I'm thinking that Franklin's official name will be Franklin Benjamin Costello. Rick loves Benjamin too and it gives him and us flexibility with two first names. Most people seem to keep their child's first name as a middle name but with Franklin's age and the name association with "Benjamin Franklin" it just doesn't quite work!!! I really want to give Franklin at least one name that we chose and I think Franklin Benjamin respects his birthmother and respects our choice for him.
