| It is here where the private sector, through Sister Cities Program, and Family Host Programs, has already proven to be a springboard in generating understandings, and as a direct consequence affected positive growth for their respected communities. This has been in the areas of education, cultural exchanges, and greater trade. Moreover, it has given each that human experience, or real contact with the reality's that the other must face in order to earn a living and provide for their families. It is also where in the course of the on-going developing human realtionships where a realistic positive agenda is form. In most instances the political nature of each nations have never entered the picture, and has delicately sat on the side lines...traditionally, but not in every circumstances. The American community role is simply to be mentoring , or facilative member in which ownership of establishing relations is strickly between the two Middle East communities participating. This can not be forced, and that volunteering, as they have, to come is their step in taking risks; this can " not " be taken for granted what so ever. |
