LOVE ISN'T FAIR

Love isn't fair,

There's no guarantee that it will always be there.

Love really doesn't love you.

It has no direction as to where it will run to.

Falling in love can make you so blind and confused,

Sometimes you'll feel worn out and abused.

Once you commit yourself and give your heart away,

There's no guarantee your lover's love will stay.

And if your lover should give it away,

You'll die inside from the heartache and pain.

I must be a sucker for love b/c I'm back there again.

Just when you feel everything is okay,

You find that you've been used up and are ready to be thrown away.

Don't ever think love belongs to you,

You just might find out someone else is getting that same love too.

I keep telling myself not to move too fast,

To keep in mind it may not last.

I can't explain why I give my heart away,

But I know if it doesn't work out it's me who'll pay.
