A natural looking move, forcing the queen out of Black's territory. However, Black forgot something.18.Qxg8+! This somewhat reminds me of Morphy's Opera game where he sacrifices his queen to get a back rank mate. Of course, I didn't sacrifice the rest of my pieces as Morphy did in that game. Note how the knight was performing double duty of protecting the rook and covering the d8 square. 18...Nxg8 19.Re8# Diagram Black checkmated. Notice how Black's pieces, although they are developed and seem to be in aggressive positions, aren't working together. 1-0
