YOU ARE 'THE UNISEX.' WHY ARE YOU CALLED 'THE UNISEX,' AND WHERE ARE YOU GUYS FROM?
We are from Enk�ping, 50 miles outside Stockholm. Jonas, the lead singer, went into a shoe store and bought unisex shoes. We needed a name and the name 'Rolling Stones' was taken.
THERE ARE SIX GUYS IN THE UNISEX... ISN'T THAT TOO MUCH TESTOSTERONE FOR ONE BAND?
Five is one short and seven is one too many. But we can tell you that it is a lot of blood, sweat and tears.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC, AND WHAT HAS BEEN THE REACTION TO YOUR ACE SINGLE 'PIGS AND THEIR FARMS'?
We like to describe it as psychedelic pop/rock with a twist of lemon. A rock band playing pop music. The reactions have been amazing and it�s only getting better.
IS 'PIGS AND THEIR FARMS' INSPIRED AT ALL BY GEORGE ORWELL'S NOVEL 'ANIMAL FARM,' AND IF IT ISN'T, THEN WHAT THE HELL IS THE SONG ABOUT?...
We had it in mind when we wrote the song. The song can be associated with Animal Farm witch is a great novel. But the song is about the injustice of the nightlife of Stockholm.
WHAT ELSE HAVE YOU RELEASED PREVIOUS TO 'PIGS AND THEIR ANIMALS'?
We have released our debut single �Take Me Higher� which is just as good as 'Pigs and their farms' You should buy it before it�s sold out.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR GIGS, AND HAVE YOU TOURED MUCH AROUND EUROPE AS A BAND?
Beautiful, moving and intense. Lots of energy. You should come and see us. You will know what we mean. We have toured a lot around Europe. We have been in UK a few times and, of course, in Scandinavia.
WHAT OTHER MUSIC, FILMS AND BOOKS INSPIRE THE MEMBERS OF THE BAND AND THE MUSIC THAT YOU COLLECTIVELY PRODUCE?
We are inspired by music, films and books that give you a feeling. That�s what we give to you.
WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING IN 'THE UNISEX?
The best thing is that you don�t have to get up 8 AM in the morning. The worst thing is that you very often go to bed 8 AM in the morning.
