*03/22/01* from wrestling-online.com WWF Teams Up With Make-A-Wish Foundation Just like last year, the WWF will be donating some of the money generated at the AXXESS WrestleMania fan festival to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For $10, Federation fans will be able to take a picture with the Heavyweight Title belt. Proceedings from that booth will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Also, new community relations booths are introduced this year. Fans will have the opportunity to take back home several items such as autographed PPV ring chairs, signed WWF merchandise by the superstars, etc. Other activities which involves bidding include a chance to eat a pie with The Rock, meet Mick Foley, announce a match at AXXESS with Lilian Garcia, dancing with Too Cool and play a card game with the Acolytes! The winners of the bids will get a photo taken with the WWF star they meet. Last year the WWF donated a total of $13,000 from AXXESS to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

*03/18/01* from Bill Watson, powerwrestling.com Many within the locker room environment states that at one point all Lawler's were on ego charged kicks. Now reports of Brian Lawler (Christopher) backstage antics has recently come to light. A well guarded source states that Brian was once an unapproachable entity in the backstage area, more so around the Too Cool [Rikishi] era. Brian was said to have been boastful and at times stuck up about his status with the company, often brushing aside others who weren't as over as the dancing trio. He'd become demanding at times and downright snice. Many say that they saw the change in Christopher when the trio was split up. Shortly thereafter, Brian became humble and less boastful about his position in the company.

*03/06/01* In viewing last night's RAW footage, you could be rest assured that the ankle "injury" that Kurt Angle "inflicted" on Scotty was just a work. I'm sure this was done to explain Scotty's absense as he nurses a real injury of a ruptured disc between his C6 anc C7 vertebre. I guess they had to do this because they had Scotty work after his knee "injury" in his matchup with X-Pac some weeks ago and there had to be another on-air injury done to explain why he's not performing in the ring. Now I just wonder if they'll take Scotty off air completely until he's healed or if he'll make some appearances with crutches or a walking cast. Hmm... Here's a bit more info regarding Scotty's real injury...From the Daily Turnbuckle newsletter It was discovered last week that Scotty 2 Hotty is suffering from a ruptured disc in his neck. Scotty informed WWF officials his neck was causing him a considerable amount of discomfort a week and a half ago, but at first it was preliminary put down to a pinched nerve. However, during the middle of last week, the pains reached the point where they were unbearable for Scotty to endure any longer so he was immediately emitted for a scan by doctors, which confirmed the pains were indeed emanating from something more serious than a pinched nerve, and it was determined a ruptured disc is the exact diagnosis. Scotty is looking at quite a lengthy rehab period, and doctor's early projections point towards him missing 6 weeks of action at the very least.

*03/05/01* from the Pro Wrestling Torch newsletter - check out prowrestlingtorch.com for pricing and subscription info Even Jerry Lawler's son GrandMaster Sexay (Brian Christopher) got into it with Kat a few months ago. During the filming of the Thanksgiving Smackdown food fight, Kat asked that food not be thrown at her. Christopher, as a gag, surprised her by dumping food on her. She responded by slapping him. He laughed back at her. She then kicked him between the legs. They went after each other and others stepped in to separate them. Christopher told friends backstage at Smackdown that he wasn't aware of any problems between Lawler and management. Christopher's version of the story is that Kat was fired "for being a b*tch" and that led to Lawler quitting. Christopher was said to be disappointed with the news and also feared that he may feel some fallout...

*03/02/01* from wwf.com This is from the Ross Report: Scotty 2 Hotty has a ruptured disc in his neck and he will be very limited as to what he can do for the next six weeks or so. With Scotty 2 Hotty injured, look for GrandMaster Sexay to get some significant singles in-ring time. ~*~*~ Dina's Note: Below is an editorial from ignwrestling.com posted today. Keep in mind that it was written BEFORE the Kat was released and the King quit. It still makes for an interesting read and would've been one heck of a storyline... Too Cool or Too Stale? Chris Sabaga (IGN Wrestling editor) says that it's time for Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty to part ways. Here's how it can happen. Note: This editorial was written before the release of Stacy "The Kat" Carter and subsequent resignation of Jerry "The King" Lawler were made public. Less than a year ago, Too Cool was near the top of the tag team heap and one of the most popular duos in the WWF. For the past few months, almost everyone has asked a similar question - what happened? Even before Rikishi abandoned the team to reveal himself as the man behind the hit and run of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty were on the road to a not so cool place. The fans still got on their feet and waved their arms whenever Too Cool and Rikishi would bust a groove, but it was obvious that the team was rapidly descending into a pit of opening card matches with little direction and nowhere to go but down. Rikishi is now in a tag team of his own with Haku. In the ultimate indignity, Hotty and Sexay were used as mere squash fodder for the Island duo several weeks ago. These days, it seems that even Kaientai is perched a notch above Too Cool in the pecking order of WWF tandems. It's a position they're no strangers to. When they first banded together in 1997, they were known as "Too Much" ("Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and "Too Hot" Scott Taylor) - and the checkmarks in their win column were too little. They slowly developed into ambigously gay characters (while still losing most of their matches), but were soon repackaged as the wannabe hipsters "Too Cool." Once Rikishi entered the picture, they became the surprise successes of 2000. A lack of push and zero storyline direction have turned the hip-hopping twosome from sleeper hits to sleeping pills. The Solution Most of the WWF's newer fans don't realize that Brian Christopher (Grandmaster Sexay) was one of the top heels in the Memphis-based USWA promotion throughout much of the '90s. Fans of that territory will tell you that Brian's feuds with Jerry Lawler and Jeff Jarrett were nothing short of legendary. The WWF apparently didn't see the same potential when they had Christopher losing Light Heavyweight Title matches to Taka Michinoku back in 1997. Four years later and with no brighter prospects on the horizon, it wouldn't hurt to see if Christopher can generate the same bad guy magic on a much larger scale. The last time around, the former "Too Sexy" didn't have a push or credible angles aiding his cause. Betraying his longtime partner and friend Scotty 2 Hotty would give him both. The tried and true "wrestler goes for tag, partner comes in and starts pouncing on his own teammate" formula would work well here. Christopher brutalizes out Taylor, then refuses to explain his actions to a bewildered Michal Cole or Jonathan Coachman (or whoever has the pleasure of sticking a spit-laced microphone into Christopher's pissed off mug). On the next show, Christopher is given television time to explain what the hell he was thinking. Jerry Lawler (his real life father) is of course behind his boy all the way. A dramatic video package gets the fans in a hostile mood. By the time Christopher's new music cues, the people are on their feet - hissing like wild jungle snakes. "Let me tell y'all something." he spits as the fans continue to boo! "I've been here for FOUR years and all I've ever done is carry other people on my damn back! Yeah, I'm talking about Scotty. I did all the work and was I ever rewarded? No! All of you rubes cheered him and his STUPID Worm and cheered Rikishi sticking his fat, unsightly ass into people's faces. Y'all are sick. It was me doing all the work and Scotty getting all the credit. Now Brian Christopher - that's right, Brian Christopher...I ain't Grandmaster Sexay anymore - I'm going to be a workhorse for ME only. I'm done putting ugly yellow crap in my hair and dressing like some color-blind Vanilla Ice reject!" Before Christopher can continue his tirade, the Kat's music fills up the arena. His father's real-life wife bounces down the aisle in a skimpy little white number. She picks up a microphone of her own and tries to reason with the former Tag Team Champion. "Brian, think about what you're saying and doing. You and Scotty had something real good going. Why on Earth are you throwing it away? Why a..." The seething Christopher refuses to let her continue. "Shut your mouth, you cheap tramp! I've heard just about enough out of you! You may be able to fool my father with that little 'kind floozy' act of yours, but it ain't gonna do you no good with me!" Then, without warning, the former Grandmaster brutally piledrives Kat onto a chair. "What in God's name has gotten into Brian Christopher?" screams JR at the top of his lungs. "What kind of a human being would do what he's doing to the Kat! Wait a minute, where the hell is The King going? By God Almights, Lawler is stopping his son from ending Stacy Carter 'The Kat's' career." Jerry Lawler shoves his son out of the way, but is hesitant to actually fight the boy whose ass he used to wipe on a daily basis. Christopher backs off and motions that he won't do any further damage. Satisfied, Lawler turns around to check on Stacy's condition. However, before The King can tend to his fallen beloved, Christopher clocks him from behind, then savagely DDTs him onto the chair. He DDTs his daddy again over Kat's unconscious body. The Too Cool theme finally hits. Scotty 2 Hotty rushes to the ring and a huge brawl breaks out! "It's Scotty 2 Hotty!" yells the excited Ross. "He's going to make his former tag team partner pay! We have a real slobberknocker on our hands, folks." Hotty is still decked out in colorful Too Cool style attire (it is actually cool, so he may as well keep wearing it). The two former friends brawl to the back. "As they fight all over the bowels of this arena, EMTs tend to Jerry 'The King' Lawler and The Kat - unfortunately both victims of that wild dog, Brian Christopher, tonight." After a few weeks, the blonde Kat returns to manage Scotty 2 Hotty. They're both looking for one thing - revenge against the dastardly Christopher. "Where did I go wrong, JR?" laments The King. "Don't be so hard on yourself, King. You didn't do anything to cause this. Brian Christopher simply snapped, and I hope to God that Scotty 2 Hotty can knock some sense into him!" It's a story that has been played out millions of times before a countless number of wrestling shows, yet it never gets old. That's probably because it relies on basic human behaviors that we can all sympathize with - shattered trust, broken friendships, and family disharmony. It could be exactly what Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty need to revitalize their stagnant careers. Too Cool danced their way into the top once before. The can use each other to get there again. Dina's note: If the Kat and King were still with the WWF and if IICool were to be broken up, this would be one of the best storylines to use since I personally like Brian as a heel.

*02/28/01* from wwf.com GrandMaster Sexay and Christian -- two superstars who usually compete in the tag team division, face off one on one this week on Jakked and Metal. Unfortunately, the reason that it's a single encounter is that both their tag team partners are out with back injuries. While Scotty 2 Hotty, Sexay's tag team partner inToo Cool, has been in pain since Feb. 14, Edge was hurt midway through the Triple Threat Tag Team Title Match at No Way Out. Undertaker was also banged up in that match. *03/02/01* Here's more of that same story above that I failed to include...DOH! Scotty 2 Hotty is nursing a bulging disc between the C6 and C7 vertebrae in his back that has kept him out of action since Feb. 18. "The Wednesday before (Feb. 14), I woek up in the middle of the night, about 3 a.m., and it felt like somebody had stabbed a knife into my back, " Scotty said. "Sunday (Feb. 18) I felt pretty good so I worked a house show with Kaientai. That night it tightened right up. It was the worst pain I had in 11 years of wrestling." Scotty said nothing specific caused the injury. Much like Edge, the bumps and bruises that are inextricably linked to his profession apparently just compounded. More news...added at 11:10 p.m. from rajahwwf.com (Dina's note: This is related to the recent release of the Kat and the King quitting the WWF and the speculation if Brian will follow suit and leave the WWF as well) The WWF believes that there will be no change in the status of GrandMaster Sexay (Lawler's son) or their affiliations with Power Pro Wrestling and Memphis Championship Wrestling.

*02/26/01* from Craig Allen, prowrestlingtorch.com Aftermath from "Showdown at the Nuthouse" Power Pro Wrestling, Air date 02/24/01 on WMC TV 5, Memphis, TN Rodrageous came out for an interview. Rod talked about being prepared to wrestle K-Kwik in Jonesboro last Wednesday night, but instead was "jumped from behind" by GrandMaster Sexay, Brian Christopher. Rod said Christopher used a foreign object to win the TV Title as the crowd chanted "You Got Beat!" at Rod. Rod demanded Christopher to come out and give the title back. Brian Christopher came out and siad he had to do something to make sure he wasn't banned from PPW, and that was winning the TV Title. Christopher said they couldn't ban the TV champ and called Rodrageous a "Reggie B. Fine wannabe." Funny stuff. Christopher then said he was a fighting champion and challenged Rodrageous to a return match for the TV strap in the main event. Rodrageous vs. Brian Christopher (PPV TV Title match) A good match for the main event of the show. Christopher did a little dancing early on after hitting some moves on Rodrageous. Later, referee William Gibson was knocked down. Steve Bradley ran out to interfere with a "Wet Floor" sign. Rodrageous accidentally hit Bradley with the sign, then Christopher hit Rod with the sign and made the cover. Victoria ran in and counted to three. Christopher got up, celebrating, until he realized it was Victoria who had made the count. Christopher was about to hit Victoria when Bobby Eaton ran out and hit Christopher with a gimmick. Rodrageous then covered Christopher to get the win and regain the title.

*02/23/01* from wwf.com This is from today's Ross Report: Scotty 2 Hotty is having problems with what we think is a pinched nerve in his neck. He will take it easy for the next couple of weeks. Dina's note: This would explain the bump he took on 2/12/01 Raw - the "injury" sustained in the bump will give him time to rest this real injury. Hmmm...when Scotty gets better, could this mean a IICool/X-Pac & Justin Credible feud? Hmmm....

*02/20/01* from rajahwwf.com X-Pac received four stitches in his head as a result of GrandMaster Sexay ramming his head into the stairs on RAW is WAR last week. Obviously he is fine and did not miss any action. Dina's Note: Go Brian! Go Brian! Oops, didn't mean to publicly display my personal dislike of X-Pac LOL :)

*02/16/01* First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! Whoo! Now to some news... Check out wwfauctions.com, as there are TWO Scotty 2 Hotty autographed hats up for bid! The first one is a yellow hat, the other is a Santa hat. The yellow hat auction ends on 2/20, the Santa hat on 2/27. Both are framed (which I guess justifies the $14 shipping charge!) Pretty soon there will be a story on wwf.com on Scotty, as he was interviewed last Monday at the Continental Airlines Areana by the wwf.com staff. Here's a teaser of what the upcoming story will contain: "Scotty's got a great story to tell, simply because he's living out his childhood dream. How many of us can say that? Scott's rise to the Federation is a great story - did you know he wrestled "jobber" matches on RAW back in 1993? - and he's a great guy to boot. The story behind the first time he did the Worm (on an episode of Shotgun Saturday Night) and the "whoo, whoo, whoo" sequence he does before dropping the forearm (he was really out of breath one time, and the crowd just chanted along!) are just a few of the stories Scotty had to tell." Sounds like it'll be a great feature! I'll post a link to it once it's on the wwf.com site.

*02/14/01* Many are wondering if the injury Scotty sustained on RAW was real or a work. From everything that I've seen on the many newsboards I check out, it appears that the injury was planned. If the injury was real, it would be all over the newsboards. Once the Ross Report comes out, we'll know for sure - if it is a real injury, JR is likely to mention it. Update *02/16/01* Well, no legitimate injury was mentioned in the Ross Report, so you can be rest assured that it was a work.
