KickFist Biography

When my mate Paul asked me about joining a band I jumped at the chance and I have never looked back.

When the band first formed I took up the role as rhythm guitarist with Kap on lead, Paul on Vocals and Nalin on drums. A year later the band split but Kap Nalin and myself recorded a demo. We gave this demo to a guitarist we met in a music shop, Thomas. The next day we met Veshal (a bassist) and� well� that was it! We had a band.
When the band started rehearsing I was roped into being the lead vocalist, something I wasn�t very keen on doing at the time. Oh, how things have changed!
I didn�t start playing the guitar until about two years after the band had formed.
But, the band consisting of Nalin, Thomas, Veshal and myself (named Jacob??) were unfortunately soon to split.

In this time we went through allot changes. I lost my hair, Nalin�s got longer!
But, apart from that we all changed musically. We all started to develop our own individual styles.

We then reached the summer of 2000! A summer of mixed emotions for me.
First my girlfriend and I split up and then there was the famous: Brick + Window = Smash Incident!
But then one day I (very much out of the blue) received a phone call from Kap basically telling me that we had formed a band (KickFist) and that Kap and Will had written some songs. I thought Wow!!
Anyway, the band was going brilliantly. We had written a hand full of songs and we started thinking about some gigs, a joy that was short lived.
Around February time, 2001 the band unfortunately split.
After this I took some time to work on a solo project. Something that I was always keen on doing.

So there you have it.

Well, I suppose I had better thank a few people!
Well first of all I would like to thank:
Kap, Nalin and Will for starting this band. But also Thomas, Veshal, Paul, Rob, Keith and Nick for there help along the way. Thanks guys!
Also I would like to thank: Mum & Dad, Jo, Matt, Anthony, Martin, Born Blind, RX and all my family and close friends for there support, Cheers!!
