WELCOME TO KOCA
1. HOME BASED CARE
KOCA offers HBC to people infected and living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHAs) and the affected who are mainly the orphans, family and other relatives.
We have a team of community care givers who are trained in HBC to the terminally ill.
The care givers make scheduled home visits to the clients and offer :
1.Psychosocial support-counselling, sharing useful information.
2.Nursing care
3.Socioeconomic support-including hand outs, gifts, clothes, shoes, assistance with daily chores in the house among others.
4.Refferals to other facilities/collaborators for further management
Currently we have 15 PLWHAs and the number is growing by the day.
2.COMMUNITY CLINIC
We have a community clinic (St. Nights) that currently offers free consultation services and minor medical and nursing care to our beneficiaries.For laboratory, pharmacy and other comprehensive care we reffer our clients to our partners (other network and collaborators) on the ground or to the government facilities.
Services to other copmmunity members are charged small user- fees to facilitate maintainace costs.
3.SCHOOL Project):
AMAZING DISCOVERIES EDUCATIONAL CENTRE(ADEC) is an on-going project that has 98 students with a good teacher to student ratio i.e.1:15. To view more on the project go to Amazing Discoveries Educational Centre
