Biography :


Kiawasch SahebNassagh was born in 1968 in Tehran, Iran.
He began his compositional acitivties in 1986,

after an education in piano (A. Haratunian, F. Behboud,
Rezai, Shahsa, H.  Nasehi) and music theory (S. Lotfi, M.Darvishi,M.Rohani, A.Mashayekhi).

In 1987 he began studies in laboratory science at the University of
Scientific Medicine in Iran.

In 1988 he began playing the Setar and studying Persian music,
its theory and improvisational practices (H. Alizadeh, M. Shoari). 

At this time he also composed for Iranian radio and television.

 Since 1994 Kiawasch has been enrolled in the University of Music and
Dramatic Arts, Graz, and has been studying composition and  theory under the guidance of
Professor Beat Furrer.
