The kind staff at Aquariums West answered my many hundreds of questions.  They told me Frances was 2 years old, and had belonged to a man who also had an African Grey.  The Grey had attacked Frances repeatedly.  One afternoon, he came home from work to find Frances missing all her feathers down one side of her body, starting from her face and  ending at the bottom of her wing.  It was then that he sadly decided to give her up.

The only  other bird I had ever owned as an adult was a Canary named "Yellow"  The pet shop staff assured me that owning and caring for a M2 would be much.....MUCH different!!!!
