One very important part of ham radio is Skywarn. It's now the largest organization of trained weather spotters in the country, and I'm proud to say I'm a registered Chaser, number 11-182. I was also priviledged to be the Onslow County North Carolina Emergency Coordinator for Skywarn and now as the Maine Assistant Section Emergency Coordinator.
