Welcome to the online hamshack of KI4BGF. My name is Travis Jackson, but thanks to my time in the Marine Corps, my last name was ground down to give me the nickname Jack, so that's what everyone calls me.
My home QTH is in Lewiston, Maine, FN44VC. Holding only a Tech Class license, my radio activity consists of 2 and 6 meters. On 2M I mainly monitor the 146.880- (100.0 hz. tone) repeater link system. On 6M I can be reached on 50.125 USB or 52.525 FM, provided propogation works with us that night.
I do accept EQSL cards, unlike many hams. Lets face it, if we had made no progress since the beginning of ham radio, there would be no satallite QSOs, no APRS or any of the digital modes, and especially nothing along the lines of a covited contact with NA1SS. EQSL Cards are simply a part of the new age of electronic communications, which also include VOIP. So, please, if I have a contact with you I would greatly appreciate a EQSL card sent to me at no charge to either of us. Want more information on EQSLs? Go to www.eqsl.net.
Along with being a Ham Radio Operator, I'm also a Black Belt in Taekwondo. For more info on me in that reguard, click on the Taekwondo link to the left.
I also work in radio at several radio stations, my favorite being Knucklehead Radio, of which I host and produce. I am proud to have as a part of the show The National Defense, hosted by Jerry Newberry.
One of my others efforts of doing something in my spare time is that I am now a recruiter for the National Rifle Association. The NRA was formed in 1871 to defend American's right to keep and bear arms, something so many in the government don't want you law abiding citizens to have. For more information about the NRA, go to their website. If you'd like to join the NRA, click on the Join NRA Here link to the right.
Anything else you want to know, just ask. Feel free to email me.
