Brother Bill Tucker
William
F. "Bill" Tucker
1949-2006
Bill was born in San Antonio and moved
to Amarillo in 1964. He was a 1968 graduate of Caprock High School. He married
Sandy in 1969 in Amarillo and has two sons, Lane and Jeff. Bill became a State
Trooper in 1970 for the Texas Depart Of Public Safety. He served as a Trooper
for 13 years. He was promoted into DPS Narcotics where he worked until his
retirement in 2002. Bill unable to give up the badge, rehired into Drivers
License section.
Narcotics was the first time I ran into Bill and worked with him for twenty
years. Bill owned a Harley Davidson Sportster and I rode a 1972 Super Glide. We
made many a trip to the Cal-Tex Rallies (Law Enforcement). Bill had a love for
the motorcycle and held memberships with the Blue Knights, HOG Group, Cal-Tex
Riders, Old Coots, and the Khiva Cycle Escort.
One day Bill came to me and Frank Frausto with a hand full of paper work and
proudly stated that we were becoming Masons. So started the journey. Bill was
raised to a Master Mason at Amarillo Lodge 731 and became Master of the Lodge.
Bill was a member of Panhandle Lodge 1044,and served as Jr. Warren. Bill
attended the Grand Lodge in Waco every year, with other Brothers from Amarillo
Lodge and believed that there's no greater honor than a man be a Mason. Bill was
a Scottish Rite Mason, York Rite Mason and a member of the Khiva Cycle Escort,
Provost and Muleskinners. Bill was also a member of the Jesters # 140.
Bill loved to go on the R/R trips with the Cycle Escort and ride in the parades.
I could tell many of Wild Bill or Wee Willie (the folks in California named him
after drinking to much Crown) stories, but these should be told at the end of a
long ride. I lost a riding partner and we all lost a true Brother.

The Cycle Escort have not only lost a very dear friend, but a true and loving
brother. The Cycle Escort would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Sandy and
the family. May God bless and peace be with you all.

Brother Bill Kelley
William "Bill" Edward Kelley
1936-2006

Husband, Father, Brother and
Friend: William (Bill) Edward Kelley was
all of these and so much more. Bill was born January 3, 1936 in Millerton,
Oklahoma. As a HUSBAND he married his beautiful wife Jeanette in Lubbock, Texas
in 1962. They were married for over forty years. As a FATHER he had two
wonderful children: Tracy and Allison, as well as five grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren. It is my understanding that Bill was supposed to be a
farmer, but he enjoyed working on all the equipment and really wanted to be a
mechanic instead. That later developed into the desire to teach. Bill started
school and received his Bachelor's degree in agriculture. I personally met Bill
late in 1970 when I was a student at Amarillo Collage. Bill was one of my
instructors and during the next two years, like most teacher-students, we became
very close and I learned a great deal from this gentleman. Over the next two
years Bill was always there to guide and help with many different situations and
even saved me from being dismissed from school so that I might continue and even
graduated early. After Amarillo College Bill taught at Caprock High School from
1973 through 1993. Bill and I occasionally ran into each other through the
years. Several years ago Comer Gaut and I were talking and he said that I knew
his father in law. Sure enough it was Bill. Not knowing he was a Shriner, I ran
into him after I joined and started even a better friendship. Bill has always
been a giving person. If you needed it, it’s yours. If you needed help, he’s
there. I will always remember Bill as a good and very kind man. He will be
greatly missed by all. As a BROTHER, Bill started as a Mason in Lubbock at the
Abernathy Lodge in 1962 finished his EA degree July 17,1962 followed by his
Fellowcraft in February 24, 1963 and raised to a Master Mason on January 14,
1964. He joined both the Khiva Shrine and the Scottish Rites in 1991. Bill felt
right at home as a Shriner because he loved helping kids. Helping them through
different units and keeping busy is what he enjoyed. He was very involved in the
Mini-Vettes, the Khiva Clowns, the Mobile Nobles, and also the Cycle Escort.
Bill was unit President of the Mini-Vettes, Khiva Clowns, and the Mobile Nobles.
As a FRIEND, you could not ask for a better man as Bill was always smiling and
telling jokes. He was always ready to help in whatever ways he could. He loved
his family very much and was also loved by many. He placed smiles on many
children’s faces throughout the years and that is what makes us good Shriners.
Bill, it has been a real pleasure having you as one of my close friends. My
friend, rest in peace and we will meet another day. Remember, all we do is for
our children.
