sizzling performance by the daughter of vitasta blending kashmiri shavism with Bharat natyam
once again the daughter of vitasta has proven that they are supreme among all and with their hard work and the zeal for achieving some thing they can do anything and the talent which is inherited in their blood can do any impossible task.The same is true with Nandita Bhan a young kashmiri girl who gave a sizzling performance of Bharatanatyam in front of thousands of admirers both kashmiri and south indians and took the audience with surprise with her sizzling performance.The function was organised at inernational auditorium in capital.Every body in audience canot remain silent unless admiring her with her sizzling peformance and it did not looked that she was giving her first public performance before the huge audience.
The talent of kashmiri blood was clearly seen.it was Nandita's first public performance at stage after learning from her guru.
she is the disciple of great dancer Geeta Chandran who masters Bharata natyam.Her performance was admired by everyone.Nandita bhan the resident of gulmohar park N.delhi and daughter of smt Neelam & dr.pankaj bhan who had migrated way back in 1949 originally from kharyar habba kadal.Nandita learned classical music atGandharva mahavidalaya for some time and after she joined Natyavriksha,a dance accademy established by renowed daaseuse Geeta chandran itself.Nandia's other intrests are reading.She is an avid reader Indian-english fiction.she appreciates both indian and classical music.she pefers to pursue her carrer in economics inservice to the nation.The special attraction was the traditional number from bharatyanatyam.It begans with the pushpanjali in which the dancer pays obeisance to the dities of the stage.she danced every number with the rhythmic precision and emoted all sequences with appropriate gestures and facial expressions.
The defining feature of Nandita's performance was the way she interwove some aspects of kashmiri shavism with the traditional Bharatanatyam repertoire.For this purpose she presented two sanskrit stotras from Panchastavi a sacred text from kashnir which is read and recited by every kashmiri household.
The function was presided over by Sh.K.Padamanabhiah,Forme Home Secty.Pt. Bhajan sopori,Padamshree J.n.Kaul ,noted film maker Pt.Arun kaul and many other dignatries.all praiesd both the teacher and the student.inthe end Mr.J.N.Kaul presented an exquistee statuette of Lord Ganesha to the Petite lass on behalf of AIKS.We at khir bhawani pray to god for Nanditas'd Promising future and best of luck for her future endevours and let she shine the name of our community.
