Báatharzi Administration Affairs of the Zaminial Government |
|
Báatharz is an autonomous zamin (territory) of the Kingdom of Babkha. It is ruled by a Behtarin Vazir (Prime Minister), the equivalent of a governor, who is appointed by HIM Shahanshah Tahmaseb Abakhtari, ruler of Babkha. Báatharz was first ruled by President Thomas "Vizier Mountian" Madden, who later became the first Vazir when the republic became an autonomous province of Babkha. He was succeeded by George Nantell, who remained administrator but not Vazir. In August of 2003, the zaminial throne was ascended to by Amir D'aoud Shervanis. The zamin has many autonomial freedoms as vested in it by the Babkhan constitution, which was also ratified by the Báatharzi legislature. Among these powers are the right to legislate internal affairs, provided they abide by Babkhan law, and for the Vazir to appoint domestic government positions as deemed necessecary. The only standing provision is that Báatharz cannot have a standing military and that it cannot perform foreign affairs independently of Babkha. Being a zamin, Báatharz has little need dictate political affairs to any major extent. For the most part, Báatharzis take part in cultural and domestic activities, contributing to literature, science and the arts. For more information on this, see the Domestic Affairs section of the website. |
