News in the Sock Drawer!
"Back in Stide Again"!!!!
And you thought I was going to leave you all behind! NOT LIKELY! I know I originally stated that I would shutdown this site and move to greener pastures, but the truth of the matter is, Geocities is my home...outdated though it may be!

The reason I've put off updating the site was because I recently started a new job, I was promoted to Administrator of  "The Takari-Patagato Forums", and, most importaintly, I've been rewriting all my stories and I also started two all new stories: "Hope, Light and Key Lime Pie", which I just finished the Directors edition for, and "Nine Months in the Socks of the Motamiya's" which is my first voyage into Daikari so that's taking up all my attention.

Now, I still plan on opening another website called "The Anime Sock Gobstopper" which I plan on launching October 31st. Basically, because of the free space I get with AOL, that site is primarly going to be a gallery. In time, I hope to convert this site into a fanfiction archive site with some pictures and a few fanarts if I can recruit some people! But, I will continue to post anime news updates, new picture updates and a whole lot more! So don't count me out just yet, I'm just getting started!"
Hey, did you hear? The Anime Green Sock ain't going anywhere!
Adult Swim/Anime Updates!
A lot has happened since the last time the site was updated so here's a brief rundown on what's happened the last few months:

New episodes of Inuyasha started airing on Adult Swim on Saturdays. This is an all new season with new enemies, although Naraku is still the lead bad guy in charge. Adult Swim is also replaying the first few seasons of Inuyasha during the week (Monday-Wednesday)

Fullmetal Alchemist is on a small hiatus for the summer, but reruns of the first season are running Monday-Wednesday on Adult Swim. According to the Anime News Network, new episodes are due on September.

Adult Swim has returned to it's all anime lineup on Saturday nights with a replay on Thursday nights. Along with the new episodes of Inuyasha, Adult Swim has also aquired three new cartoons: Samuari Champloo, S-Cry-Ed, Paranoia Agent, and FLCL, which has been absent from the lineup since March. Case Closed has been pushed back to the early morning time slot with no new episodes announced.

Adult Swim has annonuced that it will begin showing episodes of "Neon Genesis Evangelion" in October. This comes as a big relief for Eva fans who have rallied for the controversal anime to be retured to the small screen.

The 2nd Digimon movie, "Revenge of Diaboramon" aired last Saturday on Toon Disney and ABC Family's anime block "Jetex". Noticeably, Joshua Seth, the original voice of Tai and other various digimon, did not lend his voice to the character.
I got new episodes?! SW33T!
Did you hear that, Taro-kun?! WE'RE BACK!
A picture says a thousand words...and uses a thousand bytes!
"More Pictures, More Pictures, MORE PICTURES!!!!!
As I mentioned before, the new website "The Anime Sock Gobstopper" is primarly going to be a gallery website. While they are providing a generous ammount of space, I find that I still need more space to store all these pics! I plan on creating all new sections for new anime, as well as a few specality sections and possibly some fanarts. I recently discovered that I could just post thumbnail pictures on the site and link them back to an imaging site, which is probably what I'm going to do. But it takes a lot of work to create chibi-pictures, and I find myself wondering if it's the most efficient way of going about this! If you have any recommendations, please let me know!
Oh yeah! Anime is really going to be taking...off....awww, crap!
Anime Superpowers Unite!
As Reported By Investigative Reporter FlameShadow20032

"Good things come in threes.  So the joint venture between ADV Films, FUNimation and Geneon Entertainment - three of the biggest anime liscensors in America- is a good thing.  The three companies have teamed up to bring more anime to America and to promote select titles outside of the niche marketplace.  While representatives from Geneon Entertainment declined to comment, AD Vision and FUNimation were happy to explain the reasons behind forming this anime superpower"  Allright, i'll spare you the rest of the article, but in summurization, decrease in profits and the increase in payment to japanese companies to liscense these animes in the United States has finally forced them to band together for the greater good of all anime fans, though this does not mean the companies won't stop trying to fight over select titles, such as Naruto when it's ready to be dubbed for American audiences, and with a huge following at anime con's already, whoever lands it will be swimming in hundred dollar bills.
