I am so excited about my progress! It's five months since I was standing in front of the same barbecue grill last summer. I have made truly huge changes so far. I've almost met my goals of losing 40lbs and cutting my body fat in half. However, I still don't feel like I have really accomplished my max as far as getting my body into top shape. Since the contest has a flexible ending date, I have decided to continue my MaxFormation for another six to eight weeks to reach these further goals:
1) Loose a bit more body fat. I'm still too flabby for my liking. 2) Firm up my abs. I would like to see the beginning of my six-pack. 3) Build-up my muscle mass. I would like to see more muscle in the chest, shoulders, arms and back. My final weight might be 195 at 10-12% body fat.
My blood pressure is still at normal.
I will ride a spin-a-thon on January 1. This is up to six 45 minute spinning classes back-to-back. I feel I have the endurance to do two of them.
My 4 1/2 year old daughter sees my progress. She no longer calls me Fred (Flintstone) but now has given me a new nickname - Johnny Bravo, a muscular cartoon character she likes. My wife is seeing the progress too. She has started to improve her health and figure after having given birth to our son a year ago. |
