Personal Progress Journal - End of Week 16
I have lost thirty pounds since the contest started.  I still find it hard to believe that my average caloric intake on my "diet" is more than what I started with (2200-2800 cal rotation).  I have not reached my goal of 40lbs and cutting my body fat in half yet, so I will extend my MaxFormation.

I went to my Doctor's office with my daughter last week to get her shots.  They pulled me aside and asked if they could check my blood pressure since I had not been in for a while.  I gladly gave them my arm.  They took my blood pressure in utter amazement - Normal.  Stunned, they asked me how I did it.  My answer was simple - diet and exercise.  To which they said whatever you are doing, keep it up.

I have changed over and rowing from hiking since hiking is no longer aerobic for me, even while carrying my son in a pack and sometimes both of my kids.  I can now keep up with the other people in spinning class whereas just a short 12 weeks ago, walking down the street or climbing a flight of stairs was aerobic for me.

The longer I live my new lifestyle, the more I cannot understand why I did not make the change sooner.

Although my progress is remarkable, I still don't feel like I have made it past that thin string waiting for me at the finish line.  However, I must say that I am seeing my physical transformation as well as an inner transformation (my own outlook and life) take place every day.  Even if I don't ever win any part of the MaxFormation contest, I have already won a huge personal challenge for myself - I have changed my self image.  I feel much better about myself and am actually starting to like myself.
