Personal Progress Journal - End of Week 12
I've lost 24lbs since the contest started.  I feel I am getting closer and closer to my goal of 40lbs as the weeks pass.

My body fat did not change much since three weeks ago according to a Tanita scale. My Max trainer Bart Hanks missed measuring me this week.

My blood pressure is steady at normal (118/78)

I am learning more and more about taking off fat.  Aerobic exercise is one of the key ways of doing it.  I recently bought a Polar Pacer heart monitor to insure my aerobic exercises are within the training zone.  With it, I have found that hiking at altitudes of 9,500 to 10,500 feet are no longer aerobic for me, even carrying my son in a backpack.

My 4 1/2 year old daughter now practices her gymnastics while I work out in the basement.  She has eased off on eating junk food and enjoys eating. It's really neat how she is picking up my eating and exercise habits.  I have found that I need to take care of myself so that I set the proper image for my family.  Also through diet and exercise, I will be around to take care of them.
