| Personal Progress Journal Goals Statement | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| My five goals entering the MaxFormation contest are: 1) Loose at least 40 lbs (239.5 -> 199.5) so that I can enjoy hiking, mountain climbing and rock climbing. The extra weight is too much to carry around. 2) Cut my body fat in half (29.3% -> 14.6%) to improve my physical appearance and to shed the image of being fat and lazy. 3) Improve my overall health by reducing cholesterol and blood pressure. Increase my endurance and energy levels so I don't feel tired as much. 4) Learn how to maintain my bodyweight so that my weight loss becomes permanent and so that my bathroom scale becomes my best friend instead of the dreaded enemy. 5) Learn about nutrition and exercise so that I can give the gift of health and self-confidence to my wife and children. My eating and exercise habits get mirrored by my family. I feel that these goals are aggressive. A mentor friend of mine said "Always set your goals high. If you miss the mark a little, you will have accomplished quite a bit more than you thought you would have". |
