Kevin became captivated with performing acoustic music on stage at the early age of 13 when he played his first open-mic at the Linden Tree Coffeehouse in Wakefield, MA.  While making his rounds of the local open-mics he met up with Kitt Coxx and The Hounds and became their opening act for two years.
In the late 80's and early 90's most of Kevin's time was spent performing as lead guitarist and writing songs for alternative rock bands in Boston, MA.  After getting all the "grunge" out of him, he went back to his roots in acoustic folk.
Kevin played musical partner to Sharon Simmons in a joint ventrure called Two Eggs Any Style playing coffeehouses in and around Boston.  They won a songwriting contest for "Listen to the Children" which became the official state song for Child Advocacy Day.  Kevin and Sharon performed the song at the Massachusetts Statehouse in Boston, MA for Senators and State Representatives.
The next three years saw Kevin as a Boston area coffeehouse player and street performer in Cambridge's Harvard Square.  Here he strengthened his vocal ability, became a more aggresive guitar player and learned from the over-flowing Cambridge folk scene.
In 1997 Kevin traded the big-city-pace of Boston for the more relaxed fit of Anchorage, AK.  In 1999 Kevin decided to delay his immersion into the Anchorage music scene to care care for his newborn son.  He spent this time refining his old songs and writing new ones.
In the fall of 2000, Kevin played his first Anchorage open-mic at Organic Oasis and quickly became a monthly headlining act.  He is a regular on the open-mic circuit in Anchorage and can also be see at many of Alaska's music festivals.
Kevin's music mainly focuses on Original, Contemporary and Traditional Folk, Irish Ballads and Drinking Songs.l
