I live on the Isle of Man in the British Isles.

It has been said many times that the Isle of Man landscape combines the most scenic features of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, and for many regular visitors this is their favourite British isle. But if you've never been before, and know little or nothing about the Island, here are the answers to a few important questions.

where exactly is the Isle of Man?
It lies about 60 miles off England's northwest coastline, centrally located in the northern part of the Irish Sea. This puts it at the heart of the British Isles.

is it easy to get to?
Yes! The Isle of Man has excellent connections thanks to its busy airport (serving fourteen destinations) and sea terminal.

what makes the Isle of Man different from any other part of Britain?
Many things! Keith Forsythe lives there but also the Island is a crown dependency belonging to neither the United Kingdom nor the European Union. Hooray:)
It has its own Government, laws, traditions, culture, cuisine and stamps, as well as a very agreeable and relaxed pace of life.
Other differences include the Manx language and currency, though English is the spoken tongue and English and UK currencies are accepted everywhere.
