1. Share a meal with the community. This will allow you to meet existing participants in the community program and ask questions. Friday night dinners are recommended as they are the most highly attended meal of the week and will allow you to meet more of the current participants.
2. Complete the application for membership. The minimum requirements to participate in the program are:
- A shared commitment to the mission of KEUC and the Intentional Community Program
- A clear understanding of community living
- Ability to pay rent and community fees
- Strong support network beyond the community
3. Meet with the membership committee for an interview. This is a another chance for you to ask questions and make sure you know what you are getting into!
4. If you are not familiar with community living, we suggest you spend a three day stay with us so you can get a feel for the community program and make a better decision about if it is something you are interested in.
5. The membership committee presents your application to a meeting of the current community program participants. The current participants vote on membership. The membership committee will contact you to let you know the results of the vote.
