| The Norway class had been designed as a diplomatic vessel. It is heavily armed and can hold its own in a fire fight. |
| History After the initial Borg encounter in 2365 several new starship classes desinged to help combat this threat. The Norway was one of these classes. While the other designs, like the Defiant and Akira, were heavily focused on tactical abilities the Norway was also given extensive science and diplomatic abilities. The first official test was at the Sector 001 Conflict in 2373. It proved to be one of the better combatants during the fight and were used several more times during the Dominion War. |
