Wedding Flowers:
Ideas & Links
I had nice, simple flower arrangements and bouquets.  What you may not realize is that most of the flowers are SILK.  I highly recommend mixing real and fake, especially if you are on a budget.  First of all, it is cheaper.  I spent less than $100 on flowers for the whole bridal party!  Secondly, you can get whatever flower you want in a variety of colors without worrying if it is in season.  Third, you can put them all together and be ready in advance, whereas with real flowers, you really can't do much until the day of or day before because your flowers will start to die.
Here's what we did.  We bought realistic looking roses from Hobby Lobby.  The wonderful lady who put my bouquet together is a professional flower arranger.  She says to make bouquets look more real, flowers should be in 3 stages.  Full bloom, partially open, and bud.  She did a great job with my bouquet!  My friends and I made the rest, it was easy.
Mix in some
real ivy, fern, and/or babies breath the day of, and it all looks and smells real!!!  Ask the bee that landed on my bridesmaid's bouquet after the ceremony!
Here are a few of the pages where I got my ideas.  Some of these links have the same pictures, but there are some beautiful pictures.  The picture on the left is what I based my bridesmaids' bouquets on.  Actually the Maid of Honor was the closest to that, and for the bridesmaids, I used 1 rose instead of 3, but filled it with fern and babies breath in the same manner.  They were easy to make and looked great!
