May 25th, 2002. Well, things have been a bit quiet on the gnome front recently. I've been busy getting ready for International Gnome Day, of course, so haven't had much time for anything else. However last weekend I did get an invite to travel up to North Queensland and go diving on the reef. Obviously I couldn't refuse, and as you can see by the surrounding pictures, I had a ball. The diving instructor said I was the first gnome he had ever taught to dive, and admittedly, given that I only weigh 2kg it was a little hard for me to get below the surface. I just kept bobbing up again. But once we worked out the right weight ratio and attached a few lead sinkers to my belt, I was fine. The reef is such a beautiful place, with all the lovely corals and fish. I was a bit worried I might end up as somethings dinner, but apparently gnomes aren't considered a fishy delicacy. Strange! Well, 'til next time. Kev. |
