| Hello all - This is New York Kretin Kevin here to give those of you who didn't have a chance to catch Rocket From The Tombs on their 12 date tour in the Northeastern US, a brief summary of what you unfortunately missed! Despite the ever present rumours that the band broke up over 9 times during their week-long rehearsal, they played an awesome set of seminal pre-punk styled rock and roll, heavily laden with Pere Ubu, Dead Boys and Television songs. | ||||||||||||||||||

| Photo #1 - Cheetah fills the club with inimitable guitar noise during a solo in one of The Rockets' songs... | ||||||||||||||||||

| Photo #2 - Cheetah smiles during a break between songs. He really seemed to enjoy himself that night (June 6th) and played like a consummate professional... but never letting you forget the true nature of Punk Rock `n` Roll - total chaos! The photo below was taken by Robyn Hale (Associate Editor of Fat City Magazine from Boston) on her camera. It features (from l. to r.) Helen, myself, Cheetah and his very cool wife Anna. Thanks Robyn for sending the photo! |
