1975 Datsun 280Z 2+2

This was my 208Z. The 2+2 means it had a back seat (sorta) so it could seat 2 in the front, and 2 midgets in the back. Or maybe the +2 portion refered to the exact number of lawsuits that you would be hit with if you tried to cram someone in the back for a trip longer than 19 1/2 ft.

All in all I really liked this car. It was my first sports car, had a real rush when you stepped on the gas and handled ok (not great... look how long the damn thing is!).

Q: What ever happened to it?
A:
It all started when I took my dog for a ride in it. He didn't like cars, and soon there was dog hurl all over the passenger seat. From then on, it sort of had a "special" ordor to it. It sort of sat and got more dank and eventually the electrical system (and I think water pump) went south. I partially traded it in for my '70 911E/T.

Q: What lesson did you learn from having it?
A:
1. Don't feed a dog, and then immediately decide to take him for a ride.
2. Cars just don't like to be left sitting around and be ignored.
3. Sport cars are COOL (but a little pricey to insure).
