5/5/03 10:11 am

Man oh man.  where do i start for this journal entry.  So much has happened in the past couple of weeks.  I just don't know what to say.

Tuesday:  I found out this day that i was partially fired.  but they still wanted me to come in on friday since they needed me to work.  But my last day was friday anways.  Whats up with that.  Its about time i left that place.  Its not that i got fired.  I think Tim was just getting mad that he couldn't get me to through the trash away.  After so many years you just don't really care about the place.  So see friday when it comes up.

Wednesday: Nothing out of the ordinary happened here.  Got to play Halo with my good buddy Alan.  And ate some Backlava (Greek food)   And arranged to watch XMEN2 together.  We made some decisions on having a guitar group next year.  And how cool it would be for it to start up full swing again.  Hopefully i can get Eric and Ryan into it.   Be on our ways with Strangely Attractive band.

Thursday:  This day started off Great because i didn't have my 730 or 9oclock class.  So i slept in.  Then strolled into Autobath to pick up my paycheck.  Talked with B.J. (eric) Styles.  Then went to my only class.  Then went to work on the OLS Alumni webpage for Purdue.  Next came TNT for Campus house.  It was the last one for the year and i got play in it.  Good times.  After i was done, for the first time in two years, someone actually said hey sit here next to me.  So i was like cool.  Someone actually wants me to sit next to them.  THen after the service i talked with all my good buddies from Fall Retreat. Todd, Stewie, Mathias, and another Todd i think, but i forget.  All the while the girl that wanted me to sit next to her kept talking to people, and then would just sit in an area alone looking alone so when i got a free moment, i would see her alone and then go talk to her.  Well the pimp daddy that i am ignored her the whole night.  I felt bad afterwards about not talking to her after she left, but all well.  After that i went to go chill at Ryans before the Xmen2 premiere showing.  Then went to go see that at 12:01am,

Friday   Ahh friday.  So i wake up at about 10.  (the time i was supposed to show up at work, but was supposedly fired) and figured i should probably go in.  I went in and worked.  total bore.  Said my goodbyes.  I told time that i'll call him if i need a job next fall.  NOT LIKELY!  Then after class i got the motivation to do a search for this Rachel Girl to email her and ask her what she was doing for her summer.  We met some year and a half ago, and all we seem to do is say hey t eachother and nothing else.  It just seemed like the level of friendship needed to be boosted a level above just giving the head nodd.  After that i went to the movie theatre to see the movie XMEN2 again with Alan.  I show up and Alan says he has five tickets but six people are coming.  (Alans girlfriends roomate decided to tag along hoping that someone would give up there ticket.  So since i had already seen it, i gave up my ticket.  :(  Then went to go hang with Ryan and Brett and watched the coolest movie called Transporter.  if you ever rent it (which i don't recommend) be sure not to miss the scene with the oil in it.  its Hilarious.  Oh and the underwater scene.  Its to die for.  It makes the movie unforgettable.

Saturday: Well i packed up and moved to Indy this day.  So really at the moment all i've got in my room is a bookshelf clothes, a bed.  and a coffee table holding my computer and monitor.  The real Rachel replied also from my psycho email that i emailed 6 other rachels.  So now i've got her email address.  I just asked her whats up, and she hasn't replied yet.  haha.  So anyways.  when we go to the apt. there was still Goose poop in our apartment that the people said they would clean up the day after (four weeks ago, and a week ago)  So were going to be doing some heavy complaining hoping to get free internet for the summer.  wohoo.  or something free.  Like low rent possible.  After we got moved in and stuff, i had to go to Huntington to play at a coffee house for the church i play for.  And the best way to go was through 465.  Thats right 465.  22 years old and it was my first time to drive on 465.  What a moment it was.  I'm a big boy now.  And i didn't get lost either.  Who would have thought i could actually drive on 465 by myself.  GO ME GO ME ITS MY BDAY NOT REALLY PARTY ANYWAYS.

Sunday:  Went to church, good message about the woman washing Jesus' feet.  Unfortunately i got distracted while listening to the sermon i wrote another poem/writing/thing i don't know whatevery you call it.  so that should be up and running soon in the poems section.  Also at the very end of the service, a lady came up and the pastor talked to the congregation about her struggle with suicide.  Her story really hit me heard hearing it.  I'll have more detials about the person in the poem that i write about her later.  But it just really made me unerstand even more the importance of Church as the Body.  How we need to be uplifting.  This woman has children and a husband.  The little children are just angels.  And to think that this woman could be thinking about suicide is just heart breaking.  The lady has never liked our music playing style in church.  Has tried playing piano with us a couple of times, but then withdrew from the band. After the moment and come and gone with her expressing her feelings, we all got together and prayed for her.  Then we had to sing a really fast upbeat song to end it.  We sang the song Praise Song by Third day.  Good song, but probably wasn't the song we should have ended with.  But when were so unexperienced as we are, it makes it hard to just come up with new songs for the mood change.  After that we started getting ready for the Coffee house.  it was good.  It was no Fall retreat like the one we had with VU at Camp Illiana, but it was a starting point.  Andy and i did our famouse Houseplant song.  And we even had Smotth Steve make an appearence.  It was perfect.  You all should have been there.  We ended up raising 161 dollars for the praiseband to buy stuff when only about 32 people showed up for the Really STRONG Coffee. and pastries.  We should do that more often.  Note to self have impromptu praise services.  there the coolest.

Well thats my weekend in a nutshell.  hope your all doin groovy.

4/24/03 1am

Well i just finished my homework.. ugh.  but i've had an interesting day.  To make a long story short since i need to get to bed.  I got hit on by a gay guy tacobell.  And i got a free coke out of it.  A friend of mine and me were ordering at Taco Bell.  I was paying because for the both of us this time because he covered me last time, since i forgot i didn't have any money on me when it was time to order.  But i think the dude behind the register thought i was paying for him because we were dating or something.  So anyways he asks me if i want a drink with the meal.  I said no.  Then he says okay.  After he rings me up though, he says "I'll just give this to you for free" in a femanine voice with the limp wrist. Seriously.  it was a total shocker.  so i said thanks and moved on to get my drink.  Thats it.  i'm too tired to tell you about anything else.  later

4/17/03

Check this lady out.  Heres Elizabeth at like age really young.  Still cute as a button.  I haven't heard much from the family, so i hope everything is going great.  I guess i should learn how to use a phone.  but last time i used one, some said i stole it.  haha (inside joke, if you didn't get it go to phone messages).

Things have been pretty hectic around here.  www.vuccf.org just had a site/host transfer, so i've been devoting most of my time to that area.  Trying to get everything fixed up for the new year.

If you noticed the incredibly funny hot dog cooker below, your going to love what i'm going to add.  I actually took the time to really look at what that magazine was selling.  I found some pretty interesting stuff.  There all still not as funny as the Hot Dog Cooker, but I think you can get a pretty good laugh from it.  I should have that up next time I update.

Ryan, Eric and I just signed a lease last monday, to move into an apartment complex called Blackbird farms.  We got a Lake side view.  Now your probably wondering where is there a lake in West Lafayette.  To answer that question, i woul dhave to reply by saying that its actually a pond.  It may not be a lake, but at least there are ducks there that we can shoot with erics and ryans air rifels.... providing we don't get caught.  They also say that we can go fishing to if we want.  So if you guys ever want to go fishing, or even Ice fishing.... give me a buzz.  I'll hook you up with a spot.  haha.

Well i think thats it for me now.  i'm gonna sign out.  Its been a long day.  I'll catch you all later.

4/05/03 11:00 a.m.

Booya Grandma.  I got a job for the summer working at Pearson Education.  The people i have been interviewing with for like 2 months.  They hired me on to work with the shipping section of the plant.  So i'll get to be in control of a lot of people, and fire people too.  I also found a place to live, so i'm all set for the summer.  Unfortunately i don't think i will have internet access at my apartment, so i won't beable to update my webpage AT ALL :(

In other news Eric, Ryan, and Myself are in the search for an apartment to live in for next semester.  So we all know what that means.  Onelegshort website is coming back into effect.  ahhhhh yea baby.  And now that most of the band members will be under the same roof, well have to start practicing for the Strangely Attractive band.  haha.  Now if only i had a digital camera :(  well maybe with my job this summer i might beable to buy one.  who knows.  Well peace out boys and girls, my bro in law is in town and i got to go make nice with the peeps, and then go to Huntington to play at the church and see my buddy Mike Mckee.

3/28/03 11:57 a.m.

Need i say anymore for this entry.  I think it speaks for it self.  Well a ton has happened over the past couple weeks as they usually do.  Last week was Spring break.  Which included me taking a plane ride to Austin Texas to visit Kristy and Dan.  It was a total blast.  On my plane ride home i got bored enough to open the magazine that American Airlines offers you to take home with you and buy stuff.

As I was flipping through the pages i came to this article.  I was as shocked as you.  Hotdogs made in a toaster.  How can I get that Goodness in me.  Or make fun of it on my webpage.  So here it is.  Enjoy.  Read the little inserpt about it if you want.  But i'm going to talk about the rest of the week!

Some of you may know that i had an interview with Pearson Education the Monday of my Spring Break.  Well it turned out to be just a Plant Tour.  So I left the place knowing that i would be notified, if i got the job, after spring break.  Well then Wednesday rolls along and my cellphone rings.  Now you may be thinking congratulions Kevin on getting an Internship for the summer.  Not the case.  They want me to come back to meet some of there other suerpvisors that i didn't get to talk to when i visited last time, because they were out of town.   So now i have to go back to indy on monday and interview again.  I better get this job for the hassle there putting me through.

On a lighter note though, i have to other job openings that i am trying to attack.  Journal & Courier is looking for an OLS student.  My Roomate is friends with the guy, so it might be an easy in, since my dad knows the guy too.  And the second job is for a webdesign thing for the Agriculuture Administration program or something.  so that could be interesting.  But well see.  Thats all from me i believe.  Keep it Real!!

3/09/03 7:20 p.m.

YAY!!! Pearson education called me back last thursday wanting me to come in for a second interview.  Wow now i coul possibly actually have a decent job for the summer other than dealing with customers that have no clue how many quarters = $1.50.   My interview is the monday of spring break.  The lady said that the whole thing would last 45 minutes to an hour.  She said that i would get a tour of the plant and meet some of the managers i would be working with.   I'm hoping this is only a screening process so they think i'm not a total freak.  But we won't beable to tell until I go.  On a sadder note i think my Green Machine (a.k.a. my car) is falling a part.  i'm going to have to go take it to the shop soon.  I'm scared to take it to indy for the interview, so hopefully i can get it fixed before then.  Well thats all from me.  Hope ya'll are having a fine day.  Keep smilin.  cya!!

3/2/03 1:10 p.m.
The interview has come and gone.  I think it went well, so hopefully i'll be spending the summer in indy, and hopefully having the chance to go to Alan's church and play at his church during the summer, and huntington.  Man this could really be a cool summer.  Eric and i can't wait to get out of Autobath.  But what is going to hapen in August?  Do we dare find a new job?  It would be nice to work at Best buy.... but i doubt that will happen.  Or even better Klaveranga, but i'm sure they have full time people there.  Maybe i'll just have to go around doing webpages?  Now that i've learned SSI, I have greater possibilities of creating more proffessional pages.  But i just need the time to get to them.  My connection at the house is terrible.  I can't stay connected for more than ten minutes.  Anyways.  I figured i should probably start putting pictures in my journal to make it more lively, so i'll see what i can come up with with my webcam.  Oh yeah.  i almost forgot.  I find out about the internship around my Spring Break.  And for Spring break i'm going to go see my Dan and Kristy.  its going to be a blast.  Well i'll talk to yall later.

2/17/03 6:53 p.m.
Nothing has happened more with the phone message stuff.  its kind of disheartening... but anyways...  I've got two great things to share.  One i'm going to be getting a little less than 200 bucks for Tax money back.  So that means i'm hopefully going to beable to buy either a nice digital camera with the money i've saved up.... or a twelve string.  Its a difficult decision..  i don't know what i'm going to do.  But Secondly i recieved an email the on friday that i'm going to have the chance to interview with a company called Pearson Education for a possible internship.  So hopefully i'll beable to recieve that job as an assistant line supervisor and get some cash, but more importantly experience to help me along my way of getting a job in the real world.  Well i just thought i'd drop in and share the news.  The interview is This coming friday.  so get back me me after friday is over and i'll probably tell you that the interview was terrible and that there not going to hire me.  And then two weeks later get a call saying they want me to work there for the internship.  that would be soo cool.  I hope i don't get lost in Indy

2/11/03 3:35 p.m.
Okay so here's the break down of whats happened lately.  Job fair stunk, went on a retreat this past weekend which was really exciting and fun... but got absolutely no sleep.  Then Andy comes and visits me out of nowwhere on Sunday.  Which was really cool, but he didn't stay long :(  Then on monday i got 3 moles removed on my body.  One on my forehead.  One on my back.  and one on my butt.  For the first time in my life a girl actually touched my bare butt other than when i was a child and everybody was changing all my diapers.  She has gone where no woman has ever dare gone before.  Good thing i didn't have gas or eat something very unsettling the night before.  I thought about eating a lot of prunes the night before..  but i figured that would have probably caused more problems than the desired outcome.   Anyways.  After all that i go get a free upgrade with a new phone.  I say cool and i transfer over all the names and numbers and stuff.  Then Tuesday (today) i get a message from an old lady threatening to take me to court for stealing her phone.  I don't know what i'm going to do at the moment..... i may end up going to cingular and have them listen to the message.  Who knows.  anyways.  thats enough for now.  talk to you later peeps.

2/04/03 11:38 p.m.
Hey finally i was able to write something in the P.m.  for once.  Well my life has been hectic lately.  There is a job fair tomorow on campus.  So i'm praying that someone deams me worthy enough to get an internship.  Also Eric J. bday is Thursday.  Happy Bday to you early.  but who knows if you even visit the webpage.  So i guess the props was useless.  This weekend is the Winter retreat for Purdue and VU and ISU, and etc etc campuses.  I'll be riding down with a bunch of people in a van.  This should be a lot of fun.  Its been a really long time since i've actually had some fellowship.  Lets hope i can be an extrovert for the trip and learn to talk to people while in there presence instead of being quiet the whole trip down and back.  Well i got a big day ahead of me tomorow.  Pray for me.  laterz.

2/01/03 2:09 a.m.
Break down of events.
Left my guitar in 3 degree weather last ngiht in my car(yikes.  but its still in one piece no worries.... so far)

I played last night at TNT.  it was fun.  But more importantly i got to meet one of my friends little sisters that now attends PU.  It was soo neat.  Someone actually came up to me and said hello.  It was so cool.  So this girl she is in the National Army Guard or something.. and spent the whole summer in basic training.  I've seen a picture of her before at a wedding and prom.  She was all pretty and elegant.  So i was expecting to see some G.I Jane come and say hello to me.  But nope.  She looked the same as in the pictures.  Its hard to even think of her in the position of holding an Semi Automatic Rifle saying Die you punk Taliban Scum.  It baffles my mind.

School continually proves to me on a daily basis that i'm stupid, even when i get the A/B grades.  Confidence seems to take a huge role in this area.  It just hurts when everything you do (like put together a resume for a prof assignment) and he shoots you down everytime saying that its terrible.  I don't have much going for me to start off, so when he tears my resume apart your basically telling me that i did a terrible job in my previous years of my life and wasted it away living it up.  Which in some parts i can see that.  but no offense i couldn't get many internships through VU because i didn't have a directed course of study. And after mentioning the stuff i do with webpages and my two colleges that i attended there is no room for past work experience at Covenant or MCL or even what i did at Highschool.

So anyways.  In my one class today (well yesterday being Friday)... a girl had recognized me from a previous class prior, because we would go to the study sessions.  We got to talking and she said that she wanted to sit next to me next time in lab next Wednesday.  You would think wow how exciting.  Kevin is breaking out in the world and actually is starting to talk to females again in person.  oh contrare monfrare.  She only wants to cheat off of what i do.  since i know it all already shes just going to say.  hey boy that i had in class last semester do this for me.  or how do you do this by showing me on my comp how its done so i don't have to do it.  haha.  well not quite like that.  Shes a nice sweet girl... and possibly even thinks that alcohol is evil.  but who really knows these days.  i'm going to bed.

sorry for the immensely long journal entry.  i know it can be rather boring unless your a total stalker and all.  But hey what else am i going to do with my life other than waste my time creating journal entries to my website.

Oh and oh ya.  Ryan has a video camera and were gonna make movies.  its going to be the coolest.  Were going to have a trailer and everthing.  Release dates and sound tracks by none other than Strangely Attractive.  well goodnight peeps.

1/16/03  6:00 p.m.
I finally have my baby back from the guitar store.  and it looks mawvelous.  They cleaned it and everything.  So it looks and sounds like brand new.  Now i just wish i would have told them to lower the action while they had it.  Until next time i guess.  School has started and the first week is over.  Woohoo.  Only like 17 more.  I have a 7:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  So in order to get to it i have forced myself to wake up at 6 to be fully awake.  And so that when i park my car i have enough time to walk all the way across campus to get to my class.  I don't think the busses are even working that early in the day.  The snow is nice.  It deffinately keeps me on my feet while i'm walking to classes.  I wouldn't want to slip and fall on my butt now would I.  Bob and Janice are coming into town this weekend.  So we will try to beet Final Fantasy 10 and get my resume looking all spiffy since Bob knows how to make stuff fancy.  Lastly i just realized i am an Administrative Assistant on the campus of Purdue.  Its a shame it doesn't get me an A sticker to park wherever i want.  I was looking at my contract to do the website, and it said iw as an Administrative Assistant.  how cool is that.  I'm learning nothing in my webpage class.  nor do i think i actually will.  maybe something here and there.  but probably something i would have learned just given me time to stumble across it.  I guess i'll have to wait till next year to try the other webclass to see if it is interesting in any way.  thats all folks

1/09/03 10:10 p.m.
It seems to me that i am writing a ton of stuff in my journal.  I figured it would be like a once or twice a week thing.  So i wake up this morning to my cell phone ringing at 10:30a.m. (ya get over it i have 7:30 classes next semester and i'm getting my lazy days over with... i hope).  And this guy introduces himself that hes from Battleground and hes the one working on my baby (guitar).  So i was told like 1.5 weeks ago that it would be done in 2 weeks.  The guy goes through the whole thing that hes going to take of six frets and then file the rest down.  well if you ask me if you file the rest down??  won't that make them shorter than the rest?  it just seems kind of odd to me.  I talked with my bro in law Dan the other day about having my guitar fixed.  and he was like "Do you have any clue what they do to your guitar when they change your frets (those silver metal things on the neck of the guitar), or do you not want to know."  I wasn't too alarmed at the beginning.. but now i am.  My guitar has been through quite the beating.  i hope it makes it through this.  I'm saving up money bit by bit.  Hopefully i will beable to buy a 12 string guitar or a digital camera with the money i saved.  I got my W2 form yesterday from Autobath so i just realized that i will be getting money back.  So that would be a nice increase in cash to help pay for that camera or guitar.  I wish i could talk longer... which i could... but i wouldn't want to bore you.  but the people at Autobath Carwash are absolutely driving me and Eric  insane.  I think we got a raise just this past pay period.  woohoo a full 60 dollar pay check, becuase nobody wants to schedule me.  Hopefully i'll beable to make it through this month without going insane or broke.  Talk to you peeps laterz!
p.s. i scanned a ton of pictures.. so there should be some appearing in other sections periodically.

1/07/03 2:20 p.m.
well nothing much has happened since two days ago.  my baby is still in the shop :(  but i found this site from one of my cousins that is just plain stinking hilarious.  well at least i thought so.  Click here.  Well i had a fun and exciting time crusing www.flashkit.com with my good buddy andy from Eville.  I'm very excited that i could supply him with many man hours of fun on a website about creating better websites... which also included sound loops.  Andy if your reading this.  Don't forget about the laundry in the umm laundry.  peace out.  (i hope i get my guitar back in one piece soon.

1/05/03 1:28 a.m.
Happy New Years.. oh wait i'm five days late.  Hmm.  well happy new years to you anyways.  because 365 days ago its been a year.  So happy new years.  As you can probably guess already i don't have much to say here at the moment.  I had a blast in ILL for Christmas and New Years.  Names will stay anonymouse to secure the safety of the people i came in contact over the break.  Anyways... I've been working on my other VUCCF website a little.  Working on a little batman flash thing for Scott.  I guess i should probably start looking up some alumni stuff for my class i'm going to be doing with one of my proffessors starting next week.  He told me to look at other college alumni pages to see what they do and have some ideas when i came back to college to start doing stuff to the website.  I have to think of a new format and everything.  UGH.  i'm a Webmaster... not a Webdesigner.. although i wish i were a webdesigner.. I have no talent whatsover when it comes to design.. as you can see with this website, it still doesn't havea  background.  Go figure.  Well i'm going to hit the bed.  See you online or in passing. PEACE OUT.

12/30/02 8:30 p.m.
Christmas is over.  I got money to fix my guitar, and a dvd player.  I just turned my guitar into Klaveranga to have it fixed.  So it feels very weird not having a guitar to play for two weeks.  I hope Huntington doesn't call needing me to play anytime soon.  Well i'm going to ILL for the new years.  It hasn't been to exciting on my neck of the woods.  I hope you are all doing great.  later

12/21/02  6:08 p.m.
I just added frames and put the webcam up in the box frame.  Unfortunately this site will probably end up as being one of my generic HTML pages for people to go to if they don't have HTML.  But i probably won't beable to do that change until i learn flash much better, and learn how to create templates.  Life would be soo much easier if ic ould create templates.  Well sign the Guestbook if you would like.  Tell me whats up in your life.  Talk to you later.

12/20/02 1:28 p.m.
Well as you can see i finally got a webcam up and running on my page.   This past week i spent at VU.  It was deffinately a blast.  I only wish i could have stayed longer and visited with more people.  But thats life i guess isn't it.  Today i have to spend cleaning my room majorly, becuase my roomates parents are coming in town tomorow afternoon.  So its going to be interesting to get this pig pen clean before sat afternoon.  I hope all of you are having a great day.  At least the very few that read my thoughts here.  Thanks Andy J.  Talk to you all later.

12/14/02  2:00 a.m.
now you may be thinking to yourself what in the world is kevin doing up so early in the morning.  especially when he has to get up realy to go to church with the family.  Well my good budy alan decided to drop off some memory for my computer.  So now my computer is at lightening speed capabilities.  Its simply amazing.  I don't know what i'm going to do with myself now that i don't have all this delay time.  There won't be hours and hours of computer time spending just waiting for something to load.  Like you really care though.  Well i have finished my 3 semester here at PU.  7 semesters total.  thats 3.5 five years for you non-math majors.  I decided this past semester to have no life and stick to the bucks.  and my grades i think are going to show it this year.  Now hopefully somebody while hire me, not just because of my good lucks.  haha.  So hopefully i will be slowly weening myself back into the social scene, while still staying responsible enough to keep my grades up in A/B ranges to keep insurance rates low.  Bob is in town this weekend.  We're playing a whole bunch of video games.  I think my sister hates it.. but all well.  She can just go to bed, and pout herself to sleep.  Well i think i've spent my time well enough on here.  Catch ya all later.  I love you all and miss you.
