Alicia said that Elisabeth was naive to think that Jerri would be voted off. Apparently, several contestests were also naive. Had Jerri been voted out, Kucha & Ogakor would have been at equal strength and Kucha could have turned the tables and picked of Ogakor people one by one. There were, however, a few who realized this and bet accordingly. Here are the standings after week eight:
This week's reward challenge was a boomerang toss. The one who had the boomerang return the closest would win a nice dinner. Since no one really knew how to properly throw a boomerang, this was purely luck, and Jerri prevailed. Not surprisingly, she was able to take a guest and picked Amber. The remaining tribe went back to camp with a smile since they had some time Jerri-free.
The immunity challege featured a live-sized version of the dots game where lines are drawn to connect the dots and you claim a space if you can make a square. There was actually little opportunity for stragedy since there were so many participants in the game, and Keith ended up winning immunity for the second straight week. At that moment, Alicia knew her time was up.
