| Months went by, and Magdalena and Kevin became adjusted to each other. Magdalena would work days and nights at the club, trying to get her life on track, while Kevin was concentrating on his music. They decided to remain friends and nothing more, yet they both were hiding feelings for each other. They didn't want to screw up the friendship they had, and were happy just being friends. The two didn't really date other people, because both of them seemed to busy with work. One day at home, Kevin was at home relaxing on his couch, while watching a movie in the living room. He was happy that it was his day off, and he decided to invite Brian and AJ over to play cards. Magdalena was upstairs getting ready for work. She was running around the house, trying to find her nametag. As Kevin was lying on his couch, Magdalena ran over and climbed on Kevin. "Have you seen my nametag?" She asked. Kevin said no, and tried to push Magdalena off his lap. Magdalena grabbed onto Kevin, and asked him again. Kevin again said no, and tried to move Magdalena. "Are you busy watching this cheesy movie?" She asked. Kevin said he was, and hit Magdalena on her butt with the remote control. Magdalena shrieked, and hit Kevin in his chest. Suddenly the doorbell rang. Magdalena jumped up and answered the door. She saw Brian and AJ standing there with their mouths open. They were so attracted to Magdalena's uniform. "Can I help you boys?" She said, as she allowed them to come in. The boys walked in, while staring at Magdalena noticed that Brian was staring at her butt. She cleared her throat and yelled into the living room at Kevin "Kevin, your cousin is staring at my ass! You might want to get him before I do something that would embarrass him." Kevin jumped up and ran to greet the guys. He hugged both of them and told them to walk into the living room and wait for him. Both AJ and Brian walked into the living room, while AJ was smiling at Magdalena. Kevin then passed Magdalena her nametag and told her he found it on the coffee table. Magdalena thanked Kevin by kissing him on the lips swiftly. She then said she would be home later that night, and ran out the door. Kevin walked back into the living room smiling, and sat in between AJ and Brian. Brian then apologized for staring at Magdalena and asked if Kevin got back together with her. Kevin assured Brian that Magdalena and him were only friends. AJ then quietly asked "so she's single, right?" "Yeah, but that's because she got out of a bad relationship." Kevin replied. "Well people have to start over sometime. You think she might like me?" AJ asked. AJ then took off his sunglasses and leaned back into the chair. Kevin cleared his throat and told AJ that he was a nice guy, but didn't want to see Magdalena getting hurt. "Dude, you know I would never hurt a woman. I'm not that type of guy. But I really want to get hooked up with her. She's fine-looking." "Yeah, that she is." Kevin said softly. "Yeah, if I weren't with Leighanne, I'd try to get a hook-up." Brian said. "But you're with her, so you can't. So...Kevin! What'd you say? You want to try to help a friend out?" AJ asked. Kevin sighed and agreed to try to see if Magdalena would like AJ. He didn't want to seem like he was attached to Magdalena, but he somewhat felt jealous of someone else wanting to be with Magdalena. An hour and a half later, Magdalena came back home. Her boss said she could have the rest of the day off because they were barely any business at the bar. She then went upstairs to change, when AJ was planning to ask Magdalena out. He was debating whether or not to ask her out for a night of dancing or something a little simpler. Before Kevin could say anything, Magdalena walked back downstairs. She changed into a pair of jeans and a black crop top. She felt a little better about how she looked because the majority of her bruises were gone, and she seemed happy with her body. She sat down with the guys and asked them what they were doing. Brian said that the guys were actually about to play poker. Magdalena's face lit up, because that happened to be her favorite card game. She then asked in a nice manner "can I play with you guys?" Kevin saw the girlish look on her face, and knew to stay away. He could never play with Magdalena because she always distracted him from the game. "Um, I don't think I'll be able to." Kevin said softly. "Why? You afraid I might take your money." Magdalena asked. "Pretty much. I mean whenever we both play poker, I end up being broke." "Well if you're going to be a big baby about it. I won't play. I'll just watch you guys." Magdalena said. Everyone then sat down on the floor cleared the coffee table off, and Brian dealt Kevin and AJ their hands. AJ sat down next to Magdalena and smiled at his hand. Magdalena smiled along with him. "Nice hand AJ." She said softly. Magdalena then moved closer, and watched the game. For most of the game, AJ won most of the games, and AJ had most of everyone's money. He then gloated as he collected his prize money. "Well you guys still can't beat me. But Kevin I'm surprised in you. You've been slacking on me today." AJ said. Magdalena noticed a lost look in Kevin's eye. Kevin was a little upset that Magdalena was flirting with AJ, and she barely knew him. But he wasn't worried that AJ was a bad guy, because AJ was harmless. Kevin just felt a little hurt that Magdalena seemed interested in someone else. Magdalena then said she was going to walk into the kitchen to get something to drink, and said she was going to be back in a few minutes. As she walked into the kitchen, AJ got up and decided to follow her. AJ slowly crept into the kitchen, and noticed Magdalena was bent down in front of the refrigerator. AJ walked over and surprised Magdalena. Magdalena jumped and almost dropped her soda. "Didn't mean to scare you! I just wanted to come in here to ask you something." AJ began to say. He then politely told Magdalena that he seemed to be interested in her, and wanted to go out with Magdalena sometime. Magdalena didn't give AJ an answer, but stared at him blankly. She couldn't believe that he was flirting with her. No one has flirted with her in a long time, besides Kevin, but she brushed it off as just being nice. But she was surprised that AJ was interested in her. Later that night, when Brian and AJ left, Magdalena and Kevin were in the living room watching a movie. Magdalena was lying on the floor, while Kevin was on the couch. Kevin was halfway asleep when Magdalena asked "so you know why AJ is interested in me?" Kevin opened his eyes, and stared at the TV. "Well he thinks you're cute, and you seem to be interested to go out with sometime. Trust me, he flirts with anything with breasts." Magdalena winced at Kevin's comment, and was unsure about going out with AJ. "But it seems like AJ really likes you. So you should give him a chance. Trust me, he's innocent. Well not that innocent, but he wouldn't hurt you." Kevin said. He wanted Magdalena to be happy, and told Magdalena to take AJ up on his offer. Magdalena smiled and agreed to go out with AJ. She then got up and kissed Kevin on his forehead, and said she was going to bed. As Magdalena went to bed, Kevin sat on the couch. He sat and thought about what could happen between AJ and Magdalena. He figured that Magdalena wouldn't be attracted to AJ. AJ didn't seem to be her type, but then he thought that AJ might surprise Magdalena. Kevin tried to shrug off his worries over the situation and decided to let things slide. Weeks went by, and Magdalena and AJ saw each other off and on. Magdalena and AJ went out dancing at least twice a week, and saw movies together. Kevin didn't seem to mind the time they were spending together, because he thought it was great that Magdalena was spending time with other men. She needed to regain trust in men. AJ was also enjoying the time he spent with Magdalena. He felt she was a woman that had a spontaneous side to her. The two didn't say they were going to establish an exclusive relationship, but they did see a lot of each other. One night, Nick invited all the boys and Magdalena over to his house for dinner. Everyone was outside, drinking beer, and eating underneath the stars. It was a full moon outside, and everyone felt it was the perfect night to chill. Everyone got to know Magdalena a little better, and actually began to really gain a liking of her. AJ and Magdalena even flirted with each other back and forth at the table. AJ kept throwing grapes down Magdalena's shirt, and Magdalena kept screaming. Kevin only groaned and watched the two acting childish. AJ offered to remove the grapes, and Kevin cleared his throat. AJ and Magdalena both looked at Kevin, and asked him if something was wrong. Kevin only said he was just thinking about something, and tried to hide his feelings. He was upset on how connected AJ and Magdalena seemed to be. He used to be like that with Magdalena, and hated the fact that AJ was taking his place. When Magdalena and Kevin got home, Magdalena said she was going upstairs to change. Kevin didn't say anything, and he stared out his patio window. Magdalena noticed that Kevin was silent most of the night, and knew he was holding something back. Magdalena began to go in her room to change, when she looked out the window and saw that Kevin had changed into some swim trunks and was swimming outside in the pool. Magdalena decided she would join him, and changed into her black bikini. She slowly crept outside, and sat on the edge of the pool and watched Kevin swim. He swam a few laps around the pool just before noticing Magdalena. He then sat down next to Magdalena. "Hey what's up?" He said softly. He then looked up at the sky and sighed. He felt a little more relaxed since he swam. Swimming relieved some of the tension he was feeling, but some of it came back when he saw Magdalena in her bathing suit. It was something about her that made him smile. "Nice bikini. You should show off your body more often." Kevin said. Magdalena blushed, and covered herself up. "Well it's nice that you're talking to me now. I thought you were mad at me for a while." She said. Kevin only glared at Magdalena and jumped back into the pool. Magdalena groaned and followed Kevin in. She trapped him into a corner, and looked him into his green eyes. "Okay, now I know something's wrong. So you want to talk about it?" Magdalena asked. Kevin didn't say anything, but tried to move away. Magdalena only pulled him closer to her, and asked him again "Come on, tell me what's wrong. Tell me what's bothering you." "This is what's bothering me." Kevin said, just before kissing Magdalena on her soft lips. He pulled Magdalena closer to him, and Magdalena wrapped her arms around his neck. She had no idea what she was doing, but she wasn't arguing. Kevin then began to kiss Magdalena's neck, and Magdalena smiled in delight. She had no idea what was happening between her and Kevin, but she didn't want to ruin the moment. As Kevin leaned up to kiss Magdalena back on her lips, Magdalena softly asked "you think we should be doing this?" Kevin looked up at Magdalena and saw the confused look in her eyes. He then thought was crossing the line, and pushed her away. He then climbed out of the pool, and ran back into the house. Magdalena ran after him, and wanted an explanation. She grabbed one of his arms and asked him why he ran away. Kevin tried to go upstairs, but Magdalena asked him again. "I didn't mean to kiss you. It just happened. I don't know what I was thinking okay. I mean I just did it. I don't know why I just did it...." Kevin snapped back. "But you seem to be disgusted with it. Was it me? Did I say something wrong?" Magdalena asked. "No it wasn't you. It was me. I was just confused and had no idea what I was doing. Look, I don't want this to ruin our friendship. It was just a simple kiss right?" Kevin said, looking at Magdalena. Magdalena sort of grinned, and knew that Kevin did have some feelings for her. She sort of felt the same way, but she also enjoyed AJ's company. Although her and AJ agreed to be no more than friends, she enjoyed the effect it was having on Kevin. She saw the jealous look Kevin would get in his eyes whenever she would flirt with AJ. She loved how he got jealous, because it showed how he loved her. "Yeah it was just a simple, tiny, innocent kiss. So there's no need to get all bent out of shape." Magdalena said, just before kissing Kevin quickly on the lips again. Kevin was about to pull her in for another kiss but he pulled away. "Listen, I'm going to swim around in the pool a little longer, then I'll go to bed." She said. "Cool. I'll just take a shower, and head to bed. I have to go to a few interviews tomorrow, and we find out about our stops for the promotional tour thing. So...good night!" Kevin said. Magdalena told Kevin good night, and kissed him on his cheek. Kevin only sighed, and ran upstairs to take a long cold shower. Magdalena giggled, and walked back outside to swim. _ |
